This, and the Lena Dunham fiasco; and women wonder why rape allegations aren’t taken seriously.
Go look in the mirror, toots.
People love to talk about things they never have a chance to do. :)
Rolling Stone:
No sense in letting truth get into the way of throwing white frat boys under the bus.
The accused frat should sue their socks off for defamation.
We can dream can’t we? Lol
Unless I am mistaken imaginary rapists don't have standing to sue.
The magazine, the author and the accuser are all going to get skinned alive.
How much will this cost them, the university and everyone else supporting the claims? A bundle I hope.
Rolling Stone reporters have been known to do, or say, anything for a bag of Doritos when they are high.
How do you know they were white? I haven’t see an all-white fraternity in years.
Heck, I hope the FReepers who were saying stuff like, “I am almost certain it is true” will climb down off that limb they were sawing off while sitting on . . .
Rolling Stone get your check-book out!
Another "Composite" production.
They believe anything that fits in with their preconceived notions.
You mean the gang rape story was a LIE..nah cant be..Rolling Stone has such journalistic integrity LOL
You’d have to prove malice to win a suit like this, right?
The author admitted that she specifically targeted UVA because, unlike other schools she was investigating, it lacked a serious on-campus feminist movement.
That probably meets the definition of malice. At the very least Rolling Stone is going to be incentivized to settle for a substantial amount, and throw the writer and accuser under the bus.
People still read this rag?
I have never took anything this rag reported seriously but I guess some still do.
Money quote:
“Our trust in her was misplaced”.
LOL. THAT is going to cost a pretty penny.
Agree. The Frat should recover big $.
