First thing is repeal of 16th/17th Amendments. Then we might have a shot at doing so.

Article V ping. This article has more detail about Levin’s speech than the article posted previously.

I was pretty much resigned to the idea that freedom would continue to be lost without end. After reading the Levin's The Liberty Amendments I was convinced otherwise. Article V was made exactly for the problems we face.

There isn't a single throwaway line.
"More and more what the federal government does is insulate it from elections."
"This is no longer a federal republic, or a constitutional republic, or a representative republic."
"Do you realize that acting together the state legislatures have more power than the entire federal government?
It bypasses the federal branch of the national government, and that was exactly the purpose.
You have the capacity as state representatives and state senators you alone, not your governors, not congressmen, not senators, not the president, not the court.

I’m still waiting Mark to grow a pair and honestly report on the Obama bc issue, but the coward has no spine, so I don’t listen to anything he has to say. As far as I can tell he is as dishonest as a democrat......

The previous post links to a video of Mark Levin’s speech at ALEC about an Amendments Convention. It’s worth a listen.

Interestingly enough, numerous RAT legislators in the Illinois General Assembly have announced they strongly support a Constitutional Convention of the states:

Obviously, they must be outstanding patriots who want to reign in control of the feds and enforce the 10th amendment in order to restore our Republic to what the founders (and Mark Levin, his name is interchangeable with Thomas Jefferson) envisioned.

Illinois Democrats want an Amendments Convention for the purposes of modifying the 1st Amendment to restrict political speech. If 33 other states are willing to submit petitions to Congress for that cause, then we'll have an Amendments Convention for that one purpose. But that's never going to happen with 39 legislatures in Republican hands.
I should note that if 34 states petition Congress for an Amendments Convention using Georgia's language to restrict federal power and enhance state power, and if such an Amendments Convention is held, should a delegate from Illinois introduce an amendment to restrict political speech, the convention's chairman will instruct the gentleman from Illinois to take his seat because this particular Amendments Convention has not been authorized by the states to discuss that subject.

...every single one of the Democrat delegates from Illinois will eagerly vote in favor of it. If there's one thing King Mike Madigan would LOVE, it would be having even MORE direct power over the lives of Illinois citizens. They just hate that pesky federal laws like the 2nd amendment get in the way of their desire for absolute tyranny.

ALL levels of government need less power, including the precious states.
