Trey Gowdy argues that Obama is completely wrong on immigration and that he is definitely abusing the idea of prosecutorial discretion. But when it comes to doing something about it, he says that the president wants the ratings of Congress to be as low as his and that they shouldnt take the bait and shut the government down.
The cop could pass a spending bill written by Reid and Pelosi and Obama refuse to sign it and shut down the government and the press would still blame the republicans.
The republicans just can’t seem to figure out that they’re damned if they do and damned if they don’t. So, they might as well do.
You can say this every election until infinity. It’s time for our side to stop worrying about elections 2 years down the line and STOP THIS TURD!
;-)
It's a tendency we rightfully criticize in the left but fail to notice too often among ourselves, that disagreement on methodology somehow implies disagreement on ideas.
Yup
Hey, Gowdy: The voters gave you a goddamn mandate less than a month ago. Have you forgotten already?
You are absolutely right.
If George Bush (and the republicans) had kept his promise to build a fence and shut down illegal border crossings the nature of the debate today would be entirely different.
Instead attention and money were intentionally diverted from a solid concrete fence to the failed "Virtual Fence" technology.
And when the adminitration's time was up and the money was spent the border remained open, handing Barack Obama a still festering sore he could exploit.
LS can the states do anything to stop this?
Can they stop this or will they stop this? I believe that there are ways that they can, but I also believe that they do not have the will to stop this. In fact, the State of Florida recently authorized an illegal alien to practice law in the State.
” Remember the government shutdown led by Ted Cruz in 2013 over Obamacare? How much did that hurt the Reps in the 2014 midterms? “
Rush just said the same thing. Still, hundreds of FReepers continue to make excuses for the RINOS. Battered Wife Syndrome, I guess.
Amnesty matters a lot. Once you legalize the lawbreakers' status, they become entitled to all kinds of rights and benefits, including eventually the right to vote. Heritage estimates that an amnesty of the estimated 12 million lawbreakers would cost $6.3 trillion.
When anyone wants to spearhead a third party, I’m ready to write a few checks. If you’re waiting for Cruz to get the nomination, I can wait for you until after he doesn’t.
They all work for the Sultan All of them.
That doesn’t include the millions who will flood the border over the next 2 years.
Go ahead and play the same game you’ve been losing for 20 years.
I’m sure you’ll win this time. LOL
The last one resulted in the 2014 victory. At the very worst, you could argue that the VA governorship POSSIBLY swung because of that.
Two problems with an all out assault on the lawlessness:
1. 98% of the MSM is at the beckoned call of the Democrats.
a. The 47% are horrifically shallow and suck it up 100%.
b. The MSM will lie, cheat, and steal, whatever it takes.
2. The people have chosen the govt. they want. Only when the people are smacked in the pocketbook will they realize the errors of their ways.
The Republicans gained in the last couple of shutdowns and won Congress after one of them. They lose in their own eyes because in their own minds they are losers and must not disturb that.
“Does that throw Gowdy into the dust bin with those who failed the FR conservative litmus test?”
Has anyone ever passed?
