Trey Gowdy argues that Obama is completely wrong on immigration and that he is definitely abusing the idea of prosecutorial discretion. But when it comes to doing something about it, he says that the president wants the ratings of Congress to be as low as his and that they shouldn’t take the bait and shut the government down.

Gowdy’s got a point. Obama would love nothing more than to be able to blame another shutdown on the GOP … hoping to turn the tide back to the Dems in time for the 2016 election.
He said that we need to work on security first immigration/border bills.
The whole idea of a government slowdown being a catastrophe has been sole be the media. It is the democrat legislative debate equivalent of the race card.

The last shutdown was a huge victory for Republicans. Gowdy has NO point!

So Gowdy and the GOP in Congress shouldn’t do what’s right, and should let the Democrats add trillions in cost on the back of taxpayers; bring in tens of millions of new, Leftist voters from Latin America; and suppress the wages and job opportunities for millions of low-skill Americans?
That’s some point.
It’s Obama’s best hope and like it or not the majority does not approve of government shutdowns or impeachments. Maybe Nixon should have held on.

Gowdy’s premise is flawed. Its COngress who has the lowest approval/highest disapproval
Gowdy himself is a pro-amnesty sellout, convinced that there are millions of jobs that we lazy Americans simply wouldn’t fill (with the right free market influences).
It’s like they have no idea who votes for them and who doesn’t. Gowdy will GAIN votes by opposing Obama.
