The protests over the grand jury decision this week have captivated international attention.
Ferguson protestors have gained the lead in TIMEs Person of the Year poll, with seven days to go in the voting.
Unrest in Ferguson and around the country focused attention on race and policing, helping to lift Ferguson protestors into first place in the TIME reader poll with 10.7% of the vote. Thousands of demonstrators marched in solidarity with the family of Michael Brown, an unarmed black man who was shot by the police, disrupting Black Friday shopping in San Francisco, Chicago, New York, Seattle and other cities.

As I understand it, one of the one of the things that Holder wants is more diverse police force based on the percentage of the black population of any given state or city.
So, based on that, the police force in Ferguson the number of black officers would have to, at least, more than double.
My question is, what about Utah that has a predominate white population? Would the same law apply there and have a much greater white police force?
I suspect it wouldn’t be tolerated because Holder/Obama and their media would be screaming racial bias until they hired more black officers.
They already featured “The Protestor” as Person of the Year in 2001.
It's too bad that these liberals find it loathsome to honor a real hero or someone with a good heart. As it is, our young people have no idea what a true hero is. Morality and character are no longer important.
Isn’t this the canard that had “The Planet Earth” the person of the year one year?
I wouldn’t be surprised at all.
Time Magazine held its first online poll to decide the Person of the Year in 1998. Wrestler and activist Mick Foley won with over 50% of votes. Foley was removed from the poll, and the award was given to Clinton and Starr.
In 2006, the poll winner by a wide margin was Hugo Chávez, with 35% of the votes. The president of Iran, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad came in second. Time again ignored those results, not mentioning them in the announcement of the Person of the Year.
Time continues to annually run an online poll for the “People’s Choice”, but stresses the decision on who the magazine recognizes is made independently of this poll by the magazine’s editors.

Oh, he was unarmed? Seems those beefy fists could easily become menacing and deadly. In any case, sorry to have troubled you race pimps with facts proving that Brown's aggressive and illegal behavior is what led to his death.
Must have been a slow news year for the idiots at Time.
I really thought Barry’s “unaccompanied” illegal alien invaders were going to win Time’s booby prize this year.
Time Magizine is getting to be smaller in pages than My Weeky Reader.
I believe they also picked the personal computer at one time. The positive aspect of celebrating a "person of the year" is to inspire people to greatness. This demeans that aspiration.
I know they have included villains as well as heroes, but that is simply to elevate themselves as supposedly impartial judges of individual achievement in 'making news,' with the goals of that achievement being less important. Bunch of sickos, always have been.

A bunch of looters and arsonists would fit right in with that portion of the list. Being anti-American seems to be popular with Time.
