Conservatives are not split as to whether or not Obama and his ministers have committed high crimes.
We are split over what to do about it. There is no question Obama has gathered arbitrary powers within the executive branch to make, ignore, modify congressional statutes at his whim. His administrative agencies, a shadow army of lawgivers whose identities (sans Gruber) are kept quiet and out of public view, issue dozens of unconstitutional and imperial diktats every year.
OTOH, what is certain is that impeachment of American presidents is unfortunately an historic rarity.
Taken all together, impeachment is largely viewed as a losing proposition, because despite his clear guilt, it is assumed no rat senators will cross over to convict. Modern party discipline, especially among rats, combined with the Obama news cycle is enough to instill outright terror in the hearts of those who fear doing the right thing. By this theory, impeachment will only strengthen the rats at the expense of the GOP.
So what? To be concerned with the health of either party is to lose sight of the objective, turning back tyranny and restoring freedom. The real issue that conservatives should ponder is which alternative, impeachment or no, best serves republican freedom, our freedom.
What are the downwind ramifications of letting Obama and his ministers get away once again? Amnesty is merely the last in a long list of Obama high crimes which began right away in 2009.
Is he to have two more unchallenged years?

My family was sitting around after eating our Turkey dinner. We didn’t speak of politics during dinner, but after the pie and coffee, the discussion went to Obama and the next two years.
All were very worried about this. They feel Obama will impose a very vindictive and dangerous agenda if he isn’t stopped.
The GOP will not be loved for ignoring the duty to rein in this Unconstitutional clown in the WH.
Everyone around that table was in agreement.
Impeachment need not be a rare thing .. I can think of many deserving targets... the Washington attitude must change.
The parties are our organized enemy. For an Article V Convention to work for the intended purpose, the parties must be very strictly constrained in their actions. The parties control Congress and it is Congress which calls the Convention and determines the mode of Ratification.
Our next congress should do something, but they won’t do it unless we, as a motivated group, show them that they should. Let the letter writing begin!
I disagree that government exists to do good. It sounds like something Obama would say; its too socialistic. Government was created to protect private property and life. A proper government is designed to stop evil men.
I paraphrased portions of our Declaration of Independence and the Preamble to our Constitution.
Yes, let the letter writing begin along with falling down on our knees praying to our Father in heaven. Our only hope is for God heal our land because everything else we may try is just spinning wheels in the sand. That is my first point.
My second point is that we need a well prepared and organized conservative leadership to be our voice. We need a Patrick Henry to inform and teach the country to understand why conservative methods are better for everyone in our country. Our message is continuously muddled by the press, democrats, and Hollywood. This is, and always will be, their plan of attack to neutralize who the enemy is in their eyes; us.
Organized crime can learn a thing or two from DC.
Once he formally declares his candidacy, I believe America will get a well deserved history lesson worthy of Patrick Henry.
I disagree complete. Government *does not* exist to do good, precisely because it is both *incapable* of doing so and *incompetent* to do so. Instead, government exists solely for two simple purposes: to defend the nation with an organized army; and to perform those functions of the social contract that need continual performance.
Arguing about impeachment is meaningless, because the problem is deeper than the president as an individual. The problem is the *office* of the president. For over 200 years it has taken unconstitutional powers to itself, so today it has become an “imperial presidency”.
So instead the argument should be over *how* the powers of the office of the presidency should be curtailed, and *how* Republican presidential candidates should be vetted to determine if they are willing to diminish their office for the sake of our nation.
Paradoxically, most candidates for the office are egotistical and filled with burning ambition. They not only crave the excessive power of the presidency; they delude themselves into thinking that “I can use this power wisely”.
But the adage is true: “Power tends to corrupt, and absolute power corrupts absolutely. Great men are almost always bad men.” - Lord Acton
Could Obama be impeached? Certainly. But so could W. Bush, Bill Clinton, H.W. Bush, and even Ronald Reagan came close. Jimmy Carter most deservedly needed impeachment.
But in each case, the problem was not the man, but the office. And there is quite a “laundry list” of presidential actions that need curtailment, as well as those that need reform. Others need clear rules created by congress.
It is the first step to changing the entire federal government for the better.
Government exists to do good. It is there to secure our natural rights, promote the general welfare and happiness of the people.
Or in Obama’s mindset:
Government is God. I am here to allow you natural rights that only I deems necessary, to provide you welfare and other entitlements to enslave the people.
Is it a public good to regulate commerce among the several states such that industry, civil society, and national prosperity are encouraged?

You are absolutely correct. Obama was not vetted by the Senate Judiciary Committee. Obama and Hillary were also on that committee. They spent their time on McCain for various reasons, including a distraction. Dem Sen. Leahy was in charge, but greater forces were at work.
Repub Sen. Coburn failed to do his duty and went along with the dems. They all should be forced to testify before Congress and sent to prison along with all the judges who refused to let discovery be made, including the SCOTUS.
The future of the Repulsican party hangs in the balance.
I predict the party will be deader than an Obamadork brain cell ten years from now.
Interstate commerce is in the constitution, but intrastate commerce is not. There is some practical wisdom to the former, as the federal government is the natural arbiter between disagreeing states.
