President Barack Obama appealed for calm and understanding in Ferguson on Monday after a grand jury decided not to indict in the death of Michael Brown, pleading with both residents and police officers to show restraint.
We are a nation built on the rule of law, so we need to accept that this decision was the grand jurys to make, Obama said.
CBS News reports that Obama did not watch St. Louis County Prosecutor Bob McCullochs announcement, but his aides did and briefed him. It was the fifth time Obama addressed Browns death.

Oh shizzle, we’re going to see Formerly-Fat Albert at Ground Zero?
Lovely.
Totally agree! He and Van Jones had an epic argument live this morning. CNN is officially my favorite news network now.
We are a nation built on the rule of law....
Since when does he ever fallow the law?
You got it exactly.
Preezy’s speech was the go-code for the insurrection to commence.
And now the Gibsmedats will come boiling out of the urban kraals, secure in the knowledge that the po-po won’t (or can’t) stop them.
BLOAT.
It was announced early that the briefing would be twenty minutes before questions.Barack Obama has an atterntio span of only 4 minutes
Or, he got out his filthy prayer rug and flung his butt in the air.
“everything they wanted him to know”
Is he too important to have to watch that conference? Why comment on it if he is ignorant of the details. Of course the briefing was made to be palatable and to appease Obama, not telling him he was wrong and the office is free and clear because of EVIDENCE and because of a JURY that did not want to charge him for doing his job.
The truth is more and more irrelevant to the left-it only damages them. That’s why the left labels uncomfortable facts as lies. Orwell was a prophet.
His appeal for calm showed little emotion. CBS broke in programming to show his ‘appeal’ but he seemed detached and uninterested as he read from notes.
Occasionally, he got off-script and began rambling and talking in circles.
If the ole Gong Show were still going, he would have been gonged.

CNN seemed disappointed that the Ferguson area did not explode immediately after the verdict announcement.
CBS did break in about an hour later. They managed to find one car on fire.

FoxNews reports this morning of up to 80 arrests in the STL area. About 25 businesses broken into and/or destroyed.
WHo had an epic argument with Van Jones?
Stay the course was the story he met with Ferguson protestors the day after the election
It wasn’t on TOTUS.
Okay .. I thought that’s what it was, but I couldn’t find the original story.
Thanks.
And .. was “stay the course” what happened last night ..?? And .. was the word “calm” used to set it off ..??????????
If so it's a rather impotent one and therefore heartening. A load of communist agitators handing out preprinted signs and legal advice (surplus to requirements since the authorities lack the spine to arrest looters et al). A 'riot' that was weeks in the making but turned out to be a dud with a few fires and idiots firing guns thrown in for scare factor. Police and protesters outnumbered by cameras (again). Halfhearted marches in cities. Al Sharpton doing his best impression of a Super Bowl coach whose team just got beat comprehensively.
This is the left's vision of America as viewed through the cropped images of satellite teevee and with all their stagecraft, sloganeering and politicians in highest office they can't engineer a movement - primarily because their narratives contradict reality.
I'm waiting in vain for some reporter to ask a random marcher what it's all about. I'm guessing they would express a staggering level of ignorance about the case but would, of course, be able to recite a litany of cliches.
I think the DA’s speech was a bit weird and out of place. I expected a decision and then perhaps a very brief one liner and then duck and cover. It seemed to me he was on Wilson’s side.
Anyone else notice the reaction in Ferguson and Obama’s action of immigration share a common thread?
In Ferguson, blacks did not get their way and set out to destroy.
Obama, when he did not get his way, set out to destroy.
And people say Obama is not authentic.
Don Lemon
Odumbo’s speech was brief, less than 15 minutes which is the length of the Monday night football game half-time. Obviously he did not watch or listen to what the prosecutor had to say, nor was he even interested. I do believe he was pissed at the GJ’s decision.
