A grand jury has reached a decision on whether to indict Darren Wilson, the white Ferguson, Mo. police officer whose fatal shooting of an unarmed black teenager sparked days of turbulent protests, sources close to the process said.
Sources said that press conferences are being prepared by the county prosecutors office and the Missouri governor. Those press conferences will likely come later today.

I find it interesting that all these Ferguson scoops are from the NYT and WaPo. Someone from inside the White Hut and DOIJ are feeding their media friends in advance of other outlets.
For later....
Are there brackets for Freeper Madness? And what will the playoffs look like?

That’s what I’m wondering.
Is this really a hill they want to fight on? ...when the opposition out-armors, out-guns, and out-maneuvers them by orders of magnitude, standing there saying “bring it”?
The Zimmerman protests were a bust. This should be too.
But I’m driving home via side roads ASAP anyway tonight.
Please be careful or at least try to leave sooner rather than later.
Helter Skelter!
(What amnesty?)
Will Obama be showing up in St. Louis this afternoon?
Maybe a motorcade through Ferguson?
I'm in Berkeley (by the airport) today but not particularly concerned over this. Of course, I have two names escorting me through any unrest on my way back home to St Charles County -
Smith & Wesson
Gotcha.
.. preferably open-topped.
As the saying goes...
You can indict a ham sandwich.
Meaning, being indicted doesn’t mean a thing as far as guilt or innocense, that will come out in trial. Given the
media attention, one has to wonder if the grand jury feels pressured to indict.
I THINK that discussion is in reference to all the evidence the jury saw- not the finding itself.
Well for giggles I went to CNN to see what they had to say...similar to what was on Gretchen and they were saying a GJ is thought to be transparent but often is not. Also on Gretchen the two interviewees DID use different terminology. I thought Gretchen said decision and the guests agreed but it could have been that one said decision and one said evidence.
FWIW CNN is bottom scrolling that the decision will be public but that seems at odds with the commentators.
CHAOS. redefining words.
I may very well have been wrong as well. Just have to wait and see.
No, I think POTUS motorcades using convertibles ended in Dallas back in ‘63.
Fox not reporting this at all.....
Im more interested in what OBIE will say during...the rioting and looting...
After Rush’s show ends?
They’re probably busy building a new set which resembles a war zone backdrop.
While in a sane world a Grand Jury would easily not indict this officer, sanity is on vacation with regard to this episode. It's all political now.
Nevertheless, a trial is not necessarily a bad thing. Much information that has been kept from the public would then see the light of day, and only reinforce the point that this officer was in fear for his life and acted appropriately. It will never convince the gibsmedat crowd and the race hustlers otherwise, but they're a lost cause anyway.
Thank you! I think some people here on FR really want to see everything explode. It’s good that you have the two-name escort - better safe than sorry - but I swear, some of the rooting for riots here can drive a person crazy.
