Over the past 20 years, whites and blacks have experienced opposite trends in segregation. Asians, Hispanics and blacks are moving into historically white neighborhoods. Vastly fewer whites live surrounded by just other white people. Whites look around and see multi-ethnic neighbors. They perceive expanded opportunity and integration because that is what they see. And they think everyone else is experiencing the same things.
But a Washington Post analysis of Census data shows that the experience in historically African American neighborhoods of major cities has been far different, as they have remained heavily isolated. Whites, Asians and Hispanics are not moving into those neighborhoods, and blacks who remain there experience persistent segregation.
Indeed, nearly all-white neighborhoods in big cities are now virtually extinct. Nearly all-black neighborhoods, on the other hand, are still commonplace.

They must be referring here to cities run by Democrats.
You saying she wasn’t? She is also a radical leftist just like her daddy.
“I was surprised at how many black people lived there”
—
That’s encouraging-—I detest hypocrisy.

I don’t call anyone homely.
We have the looks God gave us.

Golly gee, I wonder why?
Whites are criticized for moving into white neighborhoods.
Whites are criticized for moving into black neighborhoods.
Whites are criticized for moving into integrated neighborhoods that were once black.
Whites are only not criticized for moving into integrated neighborhoods that were once white.
Remember, just like Conservatives, Liberals lock their Doors to protect themselves from Liberals.
I don’t know about the rest of the country, but in Seattle, blacks are being squeezed out of their traditional neighborhoods in central Seattle because of gentrification. For the most part, they are migrating to southern suburbs such as Renton, Kent, Tukwila, and the southeastern Seattle area of Rainier Beach. There still aren’t many blacks in the northern suburbs where I live. Lots of Hispanics though, and quite a few Asians. Hispanics dominate the fast-food chains, Asians dominate the community college.
Racist headline!
This is a global phenomenon ... wherein the 85+ percent of the world that is not white moves to majority white countries in Europe and North America. The only countries that have positive rates of immigration are the few remaining majority white countries.
Africa wins again.
I don't think he will get terribly far with that, due to the lily white Democrats. The whitest neighborhoods are also the Democrat-est neighborhoods. Lily whites will work to grant themselves exceptions to any rule by the Obama administration.
Nowadays, you hear blacks criticizing integration because it destroys the character of “the hood.” Whites can’t say such things about THEIR neighborhoods and get away with it.
We have a winner!!!
If I were black and had a black son, I'd do the same thing. I'd rather that he not be "hip" and alive than dead at 16.
That's generally correct. In Pocatello, MLK Blvd and Cesar Chavez Ave are part of the Idaho State University campus area. It marks the "liberal" part of town. Most of the blacks in town are recruits to the football and basketball teams at ISU. To whit, the only drive-by shooting in the last 14 years was involved the basketball and football team blacks attacking each other.
Oh, and blacks of course are criticized for moving out of poor, all-black neighborhoods.
I have quit caring about anything the race pimps and all of their ass kissing surrogates in the media have to say.
Feed yourself, take care of yourself, wipe your own butt and stay away from me. You want to rob and kill each other? Go right ahead.
These people have destroyed a great country. Now, all I really care about is the welfare of my own family and those who are like minded with me. Screw the rest of them.
