Enter into His gates with thanksgiving,
and into His courts with praise;
be thankful unto Him,
and bless His Name.
Psalm 100: 4
TOPICS: Culture/Society; Miscellaneous
KEYWORDS: america; faith; military; pray
Lord, we bless You with all that is within us and we do not forget the benefits You provide us. We enter into Your gates with thanksgiving in our hearts, and we come into Your courts with praise. For we are thankful unto You, Father, and we bless Your Holy and Awesome Name. You are good, Lord God, and Your mercy endures forever. May Your Name be praised and honored both now and evermore.
Lord, even with all the shortcomings of our nation and the divisive and destructive events of the past several years, yet we are still a very blessed people. We thank You, Father, as we come together with family and friends across America this week to remember all the blessings that You shower upon us. Help us to keep the spirit of thankfulness every day of every year, Lord, for a grateful heart is pleasing to You.
Father, we are thankful for our wonderful military men and women. Though many will be away from their families during the coming holidays, we pray that they will know and receive the thankfulness of a grateful nation toward them. Comfort them during their times of loneliness, and please send people to give aid to their family members until their loved ones return home.
We pray for peace in Israel, Lord, and for the love and prayers of Americans to bless them. Father, shield all the persecuted Church as the times grow more dangerous for Christians everywhere. We confess that You take care of Your own as You have promised.
Father, let our meditations of You be sweet as we think about all that You have done through Your Son, our Savior. Let us be glad in You Lord, for we know that You have won the victory for us. In the Name of Jesus Christ we pray, Amen.

PRAYERS ASCENDING ON HIGH FOR OUR AMERICAN HEROES AND FOR OUR BELOVED NATION!
GEN. GEORGE WASHINGTON THE PRAYER AT VALLEY FORGE
"Let Tyrants Shake Their Iron Rod" William Billings Mixed District Choir, Fairfax, Virginia (Click)
IN THE COLDEST and darkest days of the American Revolution, General George Washington raised his prayers for the survival of his beleaguered Army and of the new Nation. The Lord answered his prayers, upheld his Army through a punishing nadir to everlasting Glory, and bestowed His Manifold Blessings upon the new Nation.

FROM THE BRAVE, albeit weary, ill-equipped, and untrained volunteers who marched into Valley Forge on 19 December 1777 arose, with the help of some gallant friends from across the waves, the cohesive fighting force that became the United States Army, global defender of Freedom and scourge of Tyrants.
AS GENERAL WASHINGTON lifted his prayers on high in that bleak Winter, let our prayers now rise like a fountain for our Heroes in the American Armed Forces who seek to secure the benefits of Freedom on behalf of a people hungry for them. Father, look on our prayers for them with favor, guide their steps in righteousness and gather them in the shelter of Your Healing Wings. Bless and uphold them in the performance of their Mission. Through Jesus Christ, Your Son, with the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever, Amen.

HEAVENLY FATHER, Lord of the Nations, unto Your Divine Mercy we commend the souls of these valiant men and women who have fallen in the service of our Beloved Nation and in defense of the Freedoms we hold dear. We pray that You gather them in Your Loving Embrace, that You cause Your Countenance to shine upon them, and that You vouchsafe their souls to dwell eternally in Your Divine Presence. Through Jesus Christ Your Son, with the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever, Amen.

Pray for the people who represent us in Congress. They are having to face the devil and his minions on a daily basis.
