WE WILL NOT ENGAGE': MICHELE BACHMANN REVEALS GOP PLANS TO IGNORE EXECUTIVE AMNESTY
Breitbart Big Government ^ | Nov. 22,2014 | Robert Wilde

Posted on 11/23/2014 12:09:19 AM PST by Hojczyk

“They acted as though the amnesty issue wasn’t even an issue. They said that the President is going to do what he’s going to do, and we are not going to get down in the mud with him. We are not going to engage, and what we are going to do is to talk about our positive solutions on jobs, the economy, education, and manufacturing,” Bachmann said.

She added that each congressman who spoke reiterated that not engaging Obama and staying positive was a “brilliant strategy.” "We will not engage," she reiterated with disgust.

Bachmann, who was elected to Congress in 2006 and is ending her service this year, is stupefied by the Republican leadership not taking action or having a plan. “While the country is talking about amnesty, and the president is taking unconstitutional actions, our leadership wants to change the subject and not engage,” she said.

Bannon said he was “stunned” that, on the walk-up to a day that is going to go down as “one of the most important days in constitutional history,” there was no pre existing plan or course of action by the GOP. The Congresswoman asserts that Boehner and the leadership “think that the smarter strategy is to not engage.”

Earlier in the broadcast, co-host and Breitbart News Editor-in-Chief Alex Marlow said that, after reading Breitbart News’ report on Friday about Republicans flying out of town after Obama’s speech without devising a plan, is evidence that "the Republican establishment doesn't care about Obama passing executive amnesty.”

Marlow mused, “We're having this debate: should there be a lawsuit? Should there be impeachment? Should the government be shut down? What should we be doing?”

GOPe have no problem with it.

They do have a plan and their answer.

They actually think the way to answer is to pass an immigration “reform” bill.

I don’t think a knee jerk reaction is needed here. Talk is cheap.

It’s time to sit down with some hard boiled thinking, look at options and react.

In the end this is a legal issue. The SC should take it up NOW.

Obama's executive action power: Is Obama telling us that he has unlimited power to sign an executive order whenever he wants to? I'm no lawyer, so I'm very confused. Certainly, even Obam's executive order power has its limits.

1. Iraq and Syria refugees, in, say Turkey: How limited is Obama's power in signing any immigrant or refugee executive order?

2. For instance, does Obama technically have the legal power to sign an executive order tomorrow---just a few days after he signed his present illegal immigration executive order---where he grants temporary amnesty to 2,000,000 to 5,000,000 Iraqi and Syrian refugees, and nobody can do anything about it?

3. Africa refugees: Tomorrow, can Obama legally grant immediate amnesty to 2,000,000 to 5,000,000 Ebola refugees from Africa, and, again, nobody can do anything about it?

4. In summary, does Obama and his clever lawyers have us by the throat when it comes to Obama's claim that he has unlimited legal power to sign executive orders wherever and whenever he pleases, and nobody can stop him, not Congress, not the courts?

5. Pardon for 5,000,000 illegals: Just before Obama leaves office in two years, can Obama legally pardon 5,000,000 illegals with an executive order?

6. Has the use of unlimited executive order power intoxicated Obama so much that he has become completely mad? God help us.

This is not an issue for GOPe. The only concern for them is whether they should lead on amnesty and take credit for it, at the expense of angering the base, or let Obama take the blame for it which would energize the base and help with fundraising.

Either way, they are fine with amnesty. Its not an issue for them.

The Republican party is the party of the elite, the flip side of the tarnished two party coin. They do not represent conservatives.

While this is such a serious topic and I am very upset to see Republicans basically yawn and go home, I do not find Bachmann a welcome or credible spokesperson for protest. Maybe it is still the trauma of seeing the pic of her eating a corn dog at Iowa fair, her surprise Swiss citizenship, her... Okay, I just do not like her.

This is why we vote Republican so they can fund the govt at current levels or more, not try to reduce govt and do nothing as Obama legislates...

The GOP Gruber Conservatives every election. Plus they scaremonger by villifying Democrats while acting just like Democrats once elected.

Looking for a US version of the UKIP

“We're having this debate: should there be a lawsuit? Should there be impeachment? Should the government be shut down?" And the answer is: All of the above plus defunding and reversing all of Maobama's E.O.s.

Fire all leftists at the Justice and State Depts and repeal Maobama care. Then withdraw from the UN, move the organization to China, Africa, Anartica (who cares where?) and cordially invite the aid mooching parasites never to return. Then get serious.

If they really understood what was happening and wanted to stop it, they would have already had a plan in place. Their plan is to do nothing. In fact, one of the people who already had a plan, Jeff Sessions, has seen GOP establishment opposition. So it is obvious that the establishment either doesn’t understand what’s happening or doesn’t care about stopping it. Because conservatives are the only people who have seen any opposition from the GOPe due to this treasonous act by Obama.

Okay, I just do not like her.

Michelle Bachmann lost me when she allowed her campaign manager to slander Sarah Palin, without ever doing a thing to make him pay for that, or apologizing to Sarah in any way.

It was an ugly, rotten thing to do to someone who'd stood up for her. Someone who'd already endured so much hate and attacks from our enemies on the left.

I've never gotten over that betrayal.

“The emperor has played to the senators well. They know where the power now lies, and they will do anything they can to share in it.” - Mon Mothma - Star Wars Episode III

Life imitates art.

The Ruling Class has decided Imperial Fascism is now the rule for all Amerika.

So the GOP-e says nothing in the face of treason, because they themselves are complicit in implementing it.

But come 2016, if we are still around and not a smoking crater in the earth, the same thugs who demanded we all vote for whomever has an ‘R’ after their name - regardless of how disgustingly leftist they were, will come out to insult and shame you into voting for more of the same, or you will be branded and Obama supporter/”Pelosi and Reid thank you for not voting ‘R’” etc., etc.

The GOP-E is actually for it.

GW Bush is probably thinking Gee why didn't I do that. He helped hand Obama the means to do everything else in his wasted two terms of Big Government Executive Powers Expansion.

I believe it's time for the serious effort of building a new party. And before any PartyBOT Apologist says "we need to work within the party", it took less than two weeks after historic wins to re-elected Obama Enablers to party leadership. There is no Republican Party It's Dead!

Wimp McConnell & Boo Hoo Boehner should not have kept their leadership positions. Also the nonsense of it's So & So's turn to be senate or house leader next is a lot of the problem as well. We should have a say in it as well. Boehner and a few of his friends lead the GOP-E takeover of the party back in 1996. I doubt one in fifty Freepers even know that. He was the one to unseat Newt who at least tried and pushed through The Contract With America. What has Johnny the crying Clown done for us? Nothing. The voters have not been listened too since.

The GOP-E is owned & they are merely high priced Ho's working for their special interest donors with very deep pockets to serve corporate/investor interest. Our voices aren't heard and fall on deaf ears. But their Donor Buddies and Lobbyist have instant person to person access with our elected officials. This needs to end. Lobbyist have taken away our say. If we call a congressman or senators office we get to talk to a college intern who likely is some local or state party officers kid that's told to ignore Conservative's calls & not log their opinions. We have no true representation anymore. The few honest ones in the house and senate trying to get things done get the wrath of jerks like McCain and now Rand Paul. Boy he wasted no time jumping on the GOP-E bandwagon.

Which brings up another matter. Fox News is no longer watched in my home. I'm sick and tired of the Rove/McCain Propaganda Network. When I want news I search out online venues.

You describe in perfect detail what most Conservatives are refusing to acknowledge, we are being rendered IRRELEVANT politically and MATHEMATICALLY. We are being replaced, which is why we are being ignored.

We must face the reality in which we now find ourselves bering subjugated under: an Imperial Fascist Oligarchy.

If we work from understanding that is where we now are, we will have a better chance of surviving what they intend to do to us.
