Have you noticed the American Left no longer feels constrained by rules? (See Amnesty)

They think they're doing God's work. This would not be so bad, except they think they're God.

There’s a fair number here at ole FR that a snarky, then you’ve got the 10% here that are just downright pissy.

So a guy that was in full Democrat mode during the height of the Reagan era is the guy you wanna pin your hopes on? This is what it means today to be on the right? Support for a guy whose judgement is so bad that he was a Dem at the absolute PEAK of conservatism in America and then became a Republican under Bush 1?

Of all the possible GOP members to stand up for can’t we collectively find someone that has a little better track record for good decision making? Is it not a screaming neon clue by now that someone endorsed by the RINO wing is a really bad idea for the advancement of conservatism in America?

Folks, give this some thought. Put fear of Obama aside just once and THINK this through. You might want to look a little closer at his family ties by the way. They involve guys riding in tanks.

>>What’s the chance that they “selectively” recovered emails or perhaps even “massaged” them a bit before turning them over?

There are ways to tell if they’ve done that.

I’ll be interested to see what’s in the recovered emails. They should be damning. If they aren’t, I hope that someone with expertise is aware that this is yet another 0vomit administration action that doesn’t pass the smell test. In that case, not only should Lerner go to jail, but everyone involved in the coverup.

One problem with coverups like this is that they can’t be done by just one person. There have to be several people involved. The political types and managers don’t have the tech expertise to do the scrubbing themselves. That means they have to find a tech expert, more likely a team of experts to do this for them. Every one on that team has to keep his mouth shut and is at risk of some serious jail time if they are found out. How long would it take to find a team like that?

There might be some who’d take the fall for 0vomit, but how many would do it for Lois Lerner?

The article says the IRS keeps six months of backup data. It then goes on to say they can recover data from 2-4 years ago. How does that work, exactly? These two things seem mutually exclusive. Can anyone explain?

Just a guess based on when my office used computer tapes back in the day. Although backup tapes are made available for reuse after six months, they probably are not needed immediately. They could possibly be stored in a tape library for several years before they are used again.

I’m certain they have all been thoroughly redacted, or otherwise rendered harmless. Can’t have any smoking guns. Besides, this Congress does not give a flying you-know-what about the law or the Constitution or crimes against either. They are all a bunch of cowards, who will never do what they should - because “their friends across the aisle” might get mad at them - and that might make them look bad on TV.

Id have to read the policy. Are they saying “we reuse tapes after six months if needed”? Or are they saying “after six months we format the tapes”?
