So basically, undocumented immigration hurts employment prospects for the latino communities. Guess there is no such thing as a worthless job.

Shouldn’t we be importing Ukrainians by the supertanker full?

Here’s a thought, let’s stop inflicting a brain drain on ourselves by giving all the good jobs to people who owe us no loyalty.

” All high-skill immigration policy lacks is a lobby.”

Yep. All they have are all the tech billionaires. No lobby.

America is at full capacity. We don’t need any more immigrants, legal, illegal, skilled or unskilled. So-called skilled immigrants willing to work for dimes on the dollar will only take away jobs from skilled Americans.

All of the open border, "economic conservatives" are running for the tall grass, I see.

They got what they wanted, but don't want to get splashed with any of the stuff thats coming Obama's way.

How about we reform education to encourage high-skilled Americans instead??

Here’s a thought, why not just get our own house in order rather than acting like the neighborhood cat hoarder only with humans instead of kitties?

Unless the unemployment rate for skilled workers is less than 2%, we shouldn’t be importing foreigners to take jobs from skilled American workers.

Just put the brakes on all immigration for a few years.

First we needed mass immigration to have people do jobs Americans wouldn’t do. Now, the political elites tell us we need mass immigration to have people who will do jobs Americans can’t do. This is all crap.

America always needs high-skill immigrants to keep wages down for US tech sector workers.

Fixed it.

There it is again: the call for shutting down family-related immigration for those who want to be Americans while greasing the system for the hordes of foreign folks coming only for the higher paying jobs and money. Apparently, the political/regulator class is full up on foreign slaves and more willing to accept big, legalized bribes from the big shots. That’s not what American immigration was intended for.

Most people active in politics are confused by their immorality and propaganda from their friends. That’s not the way to get more immigrants who want to be good Americans. Too American political positions are occupied by those too recently descended from Europe. Greed is evil. Making money the right way (by doing hard work firsthand) is not greed.

Politicos, either assimilate fully or go back to the country of your grandfathers, and get out of mine.

[Little correction there.]

Michael, Michael, Michael

There is not now, nor has there ever been a shortage of American high tech workers.

Not only is there record unemployment among experienced, proven techies, and more graduates each year than new jobs, but since approximately 2001 more high tech guest workers have been imported than new jobs created resulting in negative job growth for American techies.

We have reached a point where American techies compete against illegals.

Here’s an even greater idea. Let’s get the child molesters, condom wearing cucumbers and sexual deviancy curricula out of our schools and train our own “high-skilled” workers! How’s that sound?!

Re: “Encourage high skill immigrants”

I’m sure all the American citizens who are software engineers support that idea.

Their median pay, adjusted for inflation, has not gone up for 15 years.

I have a better idea:

America should open its labor market to ANY foreigner who contracts for a job paying more than $250,000 a year.

That’s called “meritocracy.”

Everyone else in the world, please stay home and vote Socialist in your own country.

How are American citizens suppose to pay off their student loans for technical degrees if their potential jobs are being usurped by cheap imported labor?
