House Speaker John Boehner said Friday he has sued the Obama Administration in federal court over its decisions to make changes to the President's health care law, which congressional Republicans argue were unconstitutional.
The move was expected for months -- the GOP-controlled House of Representatives voted to approve the lawsuit in July. But Boehner had trouble retaining a law firm that would take the case because of the political furor over the controversial health care law.
"Time after time, the President has chosen to ignore the will of the American people and re-write federal law on his own without a vote of Congress. That's not the way our system of government was designed to work," Boehner said in statement on Friday.
He added, "if this President can get away with making his own laws, future presidents will have the ability to as well. The House has an obligation to stand up for the Constitution, and that is exactly why we are pursuing this course of action."

Send the Sergeant-At-Arms to arrest everyone in the White House EXCEPT the half-breed. Charge them with contempt of Congress. Starting with the lowest level functionary, offer immunity to the FIRST one to roll. Repeat until ALL levels are implicated.
How on earth are they expected to find a lawyer, there are none in congress, right?
Suing the President? Talk about kicking the can down the road. They just kicked it into the court’s front yard.
How about using the power of the House, such as defunding, special prosecutors, impeachment? I guess Boner hasn’t heard of those things. We elected the house to do the work, not push off everything to another branch of government.
Hans Boehner
So, Boehner files suit three years after Herr Obama starts rewriting ACA from the oval office. At this rate I suppose we can expect the House to file suit challenging yesterday’s immigration diktat sometime in 2017, after the 5 million undocumented democrats have all used their new government-issued drivers licenses to vote in the 2016 general election.
To be followed by a viral hashtag campaign.
That'll learn him!
Oh boy, after 40 years, the GOP is going to do something now...
Oh yeah....Right away...
Big deal. Quit hiding behind judges who will just rule against them anyway and play hardball for once.
Nothing but meaningless theatrics.
The clear remedy is impeachment followed by conviction.
Congress suing the President is just a shabby illusion for the ignorant or the weak.
TWB
You can't be series, that was the Japnaess.
Good move GOP, like you done for 40 years, act like your against all this. File a suit, make a speech, show some anger, act outraged.

After two Washington firms pulled out of commitments to represent the House in recent months, Boehner hired George Washington law professor Jonathan Turley earlier this week.
Turley is an expert on constitutional law and has appeared on multiple television networks as a legal analyst.
OR more likely, it will succeed now as there is more evidence to the criminal aspect, that Gruber has come forward. Add to that the Immigration emancipation nonsense and the intent of Obama to defraud Americans, evidence and facts for a courtroom that is clearer.
No need to reply...I have the legal background to understand the reason they waited.
If you would spend less time whining all the time, then you could study up on Civics, and what it takes to make a legal case.... there is no end to crazy everywhere these days.
If Boehner believes it is unconstitutional then why not conduct impeachment hearings?
At this rate, Boner will sue 0bama for Amnesty in 2018.
So let it be written,
So let it be done.
Hasty reaction isn’t reality.
It isn't stupid either. The demons are at the gates maybe you should write a letter and express anger, or at least show them your sheepskin, that should slow them down.
