Walmart needs to get large “HIRING, JOBS AVAILIBLE” signs to put up at each store as the strike starts, along with medial announcements in any areas a strike starts. When the strikers see large lines forming to take their place, it’s over regardless of what the strikers do.

OK. I promise not to shop at WalMart on Black Friday. Or any other day.

Chances are they're not Walmart workers, but some communist union organizing group. They should all be arrested and thrown into the slammer.
To: SoFloFreeper
I promise I won’t go near a WalMart on Black Friday (racist term).
That applies to every other store as well.

"The labour group, Our Walmart, said it had protested 1,200 to 1,400 Walmart stores last year on Black Friday, the day after the Thanksgiving holiday."...but nobody noticed. So they hired a PR firm this year.
(I have worked jobs much, much worse than working at WalMart could possibly be, and for much, much lower wages. If you don't like your job, or think you aren't being paid enough, the solution is to find a better job. Or make your own job.)

The vast majority of these “workers” do not work for Wallmart, they work for the unions (but don’t get union wages). So they are not really walking off the job - that IS their job; paid protesters. I used to see lots of help wanted ads for them when I was looking for work, the headline was “Have an activist career”.

That didn’t happen here. But somebody from around here doesn’t like WalMart, because twice this town has voted to build a Super WalMart, and twice the vote has been overridden by a lawsuit.

I tend to avoid Wal Mart anyhow.
But I agree that they should post “Help Wanted” signs the day before the strike starts.

How to respond? Fire all of the “strikers” promote those who stay on the job and open the doors to new applicants. Whenever a new Walmart opens there are usually hundreds more applicants than jobs available. Stores will be disrupted briefly but well worth it in long run.

To all employees: IF you don’t work your scheduled hours on black Friday, you will not be employed at Walmart on Saturday.
That is all.
I’m sure they have STACKS of applications to thumb through.
