Charges were dropped against a 6-foot-6-inch bar bouncer seen on a viral video slapping a woman on the subway and he now plans to sue New York City over the bad arrest, the mans lawyer said Wednesday.
Jorge Pena was let go once prosecutors found he was acting in self-defense

Jorge Pena was coming off a 12-hour shift when people harassed him over his 8-ball jacket,

Based on what I’ve seen on that video, I wouldn’t blame the police for locking everyone up. As I said before, that is a very common practice when you’re dealing with an incident like this. It’s not the job of the police to determine guilt or innocence on the scene. It’s their job to make arrests when evidence of a crime exists, and let a case run its course through the legal system.
And are the POLICE going after these Violent Animals??
Respect to Jorge Pena for being a hard working person and showing incredible restraint while being verbally and physically assaulted for no reason other than existing and having the misfortune of encountering ferals on his way home.
Thanks for explaining what an 8-ball jacket is, JH!
Never heard of the jacket before, but I don’t watch or listen to rap or hip-hop junk.
Less convinced he has a case against the police for locking him up in the first place. Until someone official could watch that video, it was a "he said/she said" situation, and apparently Pena did some damage. It was in self defense, but the cops had no reason to know that until they saw the video/got testimony from those not involved. (I'm sure the lady he slapped and all her pals gave a very different version of what happened than Pena did....)
On another note, your handle reminds me that it is long past time to show the kids Cat Ballou. I have been negligent in their education. Tsk!
I understand the guy did nothing, but they dropped the charges and released him when they sorted it all out. It’s been reported widely in the news. Not much more anyone can do, he wants a payday.
Hard to beat THIS one:

Oakland, Calif. chirruns an yoots at Halloween an’ chit..!
Yo, throwin’ dem plates an’ chit, bro..!! DAYUM..!!
I thank God that I don’t have to live around that trash.
and in this case, I don't blame the guy at all...he reacted after getting hit and after taking verbal abuse for several minutes....what's he supposed to do?...let her keep hitting him....
and they wonder people don't want to live in their areas, why property values shrink when they move in, why these areas ultimately become wastelands....
That beeeeacht got slapped 12 years older ! She gonna talk smack, she gonna get smacked. Great video.

Good Lord above. Simply incredible and repulsive. Last thing I heard on this video is, “is isn’t my fault”. Says it all. No sense of responsibility for anything, not even herself or themselves. I’m surprised no one pulled out a shotgun. Men nowhere to be seen or heard until the end. I guess they came out of hiding. This went on long enough for the police to show up. Maybe they were hiding like the men in the restaurant. Disgusting!!!
Her life was over the moment she assaulted a stranger. He showed restraint and let her live. Kudos for moderation of force under duress.
Thank you for being honest about what type of person you are.
Glad to help.
That gif cracks me up because it is so true.
That is a Dale Jr. jacket, when he drove the #8 car. His grand pappy drove #8 as well.
My apologies. After watching the video for the sixth time, I finally understood what the young thug was saying. She did call it an 8-ball jacket.
