The proper response to that command is to say “God bless you, we’ll pray for you too”, then just continue on as before.

It is long past the time that Christians need to tell the school system and the courts to go F*** themselves. They need to be deliberately defied.

Typical teachers. They have no idea what the constitution means. Semi-literate morons.

I was at a public school recently and watched as a young child paused to pray before he ate his lunch. He had no adult reminding him. He was in a room full of other children talking and taking out their lunches.
On another day recently, I watched a grandmother remind her grandchild to thank God for his food before he tore into it. This was on a school field trip. She has no front teeth. And she appears poor and lacking in intelligence. But her belief is so very powerful and moving to me.
I thank God for these rays of light in this dark world.

They should start a Muslim prayer group and see how that turns out, that would undoubtedly be fine.

Let me just say this clearly, to those who have not studied our Bill of rights and want the shortcut on this matter.
“Amendment I
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.”
This means that the government shall not have an official state religion for which we all are compelled to practice; we can speak our minds without repercussions from the state, gather with like minded people of our choice, and raise our voices to the government if we feel we have been transgressed.
Therefore, the kids can worship God with each other if they like on campus, and if they are punished, they can speak out and bring suit.

Bet the school would change it's mind if the Christian students skipped the rest of the week. Oooh, all those government dollars based on attendance would fritter away. Of course, this is nothing but the result of lazy parents. Parents rule the schools and it's time they stepped up to that role. You don't like school policy? Make your voice heard at PTO and school board meetings. Still don't like the policies? Run for school board. Send letters to the editor of the local paper. Organize a few like minded parents on a calling list to make calls to the principal, the superintendent and individual board members. FYI, it usually only takes a call from 3 people to stop the insanity. Have the area churches preach to that subject next Sunday and put it in their newsletters. Stage a candlelight vigil or other peaceful protest so the local news airs your grievances.
About twice a year when our kids were in school, I changed policy. 90% took all of 5 minutes on the phone.

Every one of the venal, dishonest, anti-American, corn-holing, child-molesting, porno-addicted scumbags behind this rancid garbage should be pilloried in the public square. Lock them into their stocks, then let the public come and pray at them for an hour or so. Finally, we send in the Pakistani women in their cute little burkhas with their scimitars to flay all the skin off 'em.
A few months with this plan in place, and you just watch how many of these so-called "Liberals" decide to register as "Republican" next time!

Christian students at a Colorado public high school were told they could no longer meet to pray, sing religious songs or discuss religious topics during free time because such activity violated the U.S. Constitution, a lawsuit filed in federal court alleges.
I have read the US Constitution. What sort of MORON do you need to be to think what these children were doing violates anything in our Constitution.
