Holder responds by saying that they needed to be very careful. He goes on to criticize Issa, and calls his investigation a purely political move. In the process however, he basically admits that the operation at the center of the investigation led to the death of thousands of Mexican civilians.

You’ve got the initial purpose correct, but you’re ignoring the reality of the outcome. The guns DID end up in the drug lord operations and were used to kill thousands of people. The guns are still being used today by the drug lords.

I continue to be shocked by comments from the left. The truth I believe is so far removed from the things they say. Do they really believe what they say? I don’t know about the ones in power but the “masses” espouse those comments as beliefs without thinking. We have to be more discerning and I think conservatives are which has been part of the Republican’s problem keeping them from marching lock step. But listen to Republican candidates that won last week and their discourse is intelligent. Let’s keep it that way!

That’s the kind of stuff you put in an email when you are arrogant enough to think as the top law enforcement guy who is a big buddy with the top executive, you are immune from any kind of retaliation. It shows how bold and brave and important you are to all those underlings.
And both the top law enforcement guy and the top executive have forgotten that it’s about the country and its citizens, and that neither have a right to flip the law around as the see fit.
Well know we know why Holder suddenly decided to resign. He knew the judge was going to force this stuff to be released. He needs to be put in Leavenworth in the same cell as his buddy Barky.
