I realize even if the senate is won, there will be no magical turn around. But there will be at least a glimmer of hope where there has been little.Well said thought I might change "glimmer of hope where there has been little" to "where there has been none.

Sure, but the Rethuglicans and TEA Party people spent millions of Koch Bucks spreading a rumor that Dems vote the same day as Rethuglicans in an effort to disenfranchise them. I hope they see through that and don’t have their vote counted wrong if they vote today.

Same here. Deep RAT northern Virginia precinct and I was the only one there at 7 am. My husband just went up now and one other guy was there and he’s a republican. Maybe this is good news? our liberal neighborhood listserv dems are sending out urgent pleas for people to get to the polls. Could Gillespie get this thing?
To: RKBA Democrat
Reporting from south west PA (east of Pittsburgh)...Westmoreland County. Solid red. I vote at a tiny volunteer fire hall; I was voter #124 at about 9:20am. I waited in line for 3 or 4 minutes (we only have two voting stations—touchscreens). There was a line behind me when I left home. The nice older ladies (who work the polls) said they believed they are on the mark to break their 2012 Presidential election record. Our “hot button” election here would be Governor. Uber LEFTIE Tom Wolf WANTS and PROMISES to not only raise taxes for the “wealthy” (middle class!) but to GREEN PA by stopping the job generating fracking/shale drilling. HE IS AN OBOT!!! I think that’s why the big turnout here in Fracking Country.
My congressman is a republican, a good guy, Tim Murphy (no one opposing him) and my State Rep is a solid conservative, George Dunbar (also running unopposed).

I am keeping my fingers crossed that Gillespie might be able to pull this off. Here’s hoping that NOVA will not come out to vote.

Voted at 7:10AM in a small township here. Number 22. Corbett is done. The Northern Tier Counties are going to be pissed. Wolf will tax the gas and all of the PA Act 13 money will go to Philthadelphia. The Counties imposed that impact tax to improve local infrastructure, EMS and roads. Now that money will be gone and our taxes will go up.

My parish church, its parish hall is being used as a polling place. Futher fits for Obama!More fits for Obama here. Mine also at a church. I believe the day will come when that will no longer be allowed but probably many years in the future. We shall see.

It was the least-busy I have ever seen my polling place (City of Pittsburgh, PA- middle class 50% Jewish neighborhood). Weather is nice here, sunny about 60 degrees.

I know exactly what you are saying. I’m hoping against all hope that “Alabama” (all the shale rich land between Pittsburgh and Philadelphia) voters are pissed enough to eek out a 2nd term for Corbett. I know. I am delusional.

I just got back from voting at my polling place in Cherryville, Pennsylvania.
No standing in line. Steady stream of white male only voters. Good sign for Governor Corbett but probably will not be enough to overcome the Philly fraud vote and the idiot disgruntled Penn State fans who blame Corbett for the Jerry Sandusky fiasco.
To: dforest
I SO want to see Hagan defeated! If she wins a “clean” election, that is one thing, but, if she wins a close election due to voter fraud, that is quite another! Our poll workers are letting everyone know that they will need an ID for the 2016 election and I pray that is the case!! I was just talking to a coworker who is black and I told him about what I had read about there already being fraud in NC. Of course, he did not believe me!

I’m south of Boston in a town that tends to be a little more Republican than Democrat and the place was packed. I usually see lots of seniors but today there were a lot of 30 and 40 somethings and lots of guys. That could bode well for Baker as I don’t think Coakley sits to well with young men.

The ladies at the polls said they had as many votes at 9:00am as they usually have at 2:00pm when the next shift comes in. This is in a rural WI district.
