Happy Election Day everyone! I figured I'd go ahead and get the election day thread started. Polls open on the east coast in a little less than an hour.
Please be sure to post observations of interest if you went to the polls today.
It would have been nice to be able to look at a ballot before the election here in Jefferson County, KY. Unfortunately , one was not available because our secretary of State was too busy to do the job she was elected to (Alison Grimes). We paid her anyway.
That suggests lower turnout for the Rats.
I have been wrong many times but somehow I see 1994 all over again.
Working a precinct in suburban Indy. Anecdotally, I’ d say that so far, turnout is “higher than expected”. Seems to be about 50/50
Same for me...heavy dem precinct in Broward co. FL no lines at 9am or cars in the lot. Its right on the beach with lots of NY Jewish retirees in the condos. I would love to see DWS get margin that scared the snot out of her
“Walker right now has a slim lead, but everyone who voted from him in the 2012 recall has to show up at the polls today and vote.”
Mary Burke is an even WEAKER candidate than was Mayor Barrett. I work with PLENTY of Libs and they’re acting as if nothing is happening today here in, ‘The People’s Republik of Madistan.’ I haven’t heard ONE of them praise Burke - and strangely, they don’t bash Walker. They also do NOT talk about 0bama, after bashing Bush every day for EIGHT YEARS STRAIGHT.
I see the above as very telling; I’m thinking low turn out for Libs in Wisconsin.
Those that will vote today hate Scott Walker more than they care for Mary Burke.
I am praying for a WIN for Walker; the guy has done amazing things for our state in just a few short years, while battling the Libs in a very classy and calm manner since the MINUTE he was elected.
Love My Gov! :)
A light turnout here would be good for the Pubs. But Dems don't typically get up early, so too soon to make any predictions.
EST or PST?
If EST, my beer/wine o’ clock early!
Vote cast in Live Free or Die State!
Here we are. . It's Live Free or Die!
Any Freepers in Southern NH should check polling parking lots for Massachusetts license plates. They were prominent the last 3 elections. And buses, the unions use those a lot as well.
Voted this am in heavily Rat area on NoVa. Turnout was VERY light, especially when compared with 2012. Fingers crossed but looks like the grifters aren’t very enthusiastic this time around.
We just voted. It could not have gone any smoother. Republicans run the polling place. There is probably one or two dimcommies around here. There were 15-20 OLD folks voting. Several leaving as we arrived. Several driving up as we departed. Went in, showed photo ID, (my retired Military ID), signed the roster, got the page, marked vote all republican, pushed it through the counting machine, got my I VOTED sticker, and left. Took less than 7-9 minutes from the time we hit the door till we left. SMOOTH AS A NEW BORN BABYS BOTTOM. No leftist, socialist, communist, homosexual, terrorist muslins near the place. Alabama is going solid republican again. There were maybe three or four running against a couple of the state races. But adds on TV shows the two biggest, one for governor and a state senator slot are solid Obama and his policies. They two will go down in flames. Alabama has had it with Obama, his communist, his FBI, his CIA, his communist and muslin buddies. We are armed and we aint giving them up. Period.
This just in -Chris Matthews just amputated his leg.
Alabama started at 7 a.m. We were in at 7:50 and out before 8:00. Smooth as silk. Republicans run the polling place at a, a, a, CHRISTIAN CHURCH!!!!!!!!!!! Obama will have a fit!!!
You wait all this time for election day and then Rove is on FOX News...
Hopefully.
Are you speaking for RBKA Democrat now?
My parish church, its parish hall is being used as a polling place. Futher fits for Obama!
I dont know why, but I really enjoyed reading your post. It buoyed my spirit, which really needs it these days.
Thanks for your service, and your optimism this day.
God Bless
