Despite signs pointing to Republican gains in Tuesdays midterm elections, White House aides said President Obama wont change his leadership style because the contests in red states dont represent a true national election.
With the GOP in striking distance of regaining control of the Senate, White House press secretary Josh Earnest said Monday that the vast majority of [Senate races] are actually taking place in states that the president did not win in the last presidential election.
And he said the Republican-friendly nature of this years electoral map would be a reason for the White House to limit any lessons learned from the outcome.
The electorate is different this time than it is in a traditional presidential election, Mr. Earnest said. That will be part of the calculation thats made as we consider what sort of conclusion should be appropriately drawn from the election.

Obviously he is not in the “no spin zone”.
Red states aren’t legitimately part of the nation, after all.
No, no... they’re right. It isn’t a true national election, and there is no reason for liberals to inconvenience themselves by participating.
The rat internal polling must be just hideous.
They must be expecting a tsunami. I’m in MN, it’s all blue here.
This Opinion Piece brought to you by the same genius who believes the Constitution is fundamentally flawed...
The GOP made the mistake that Impeachment was off the table. It’s signalling to the enemy what you will do. He now knows he can do whatever in the heck he wants and there is not a dang thing the GOP will do about it.
Elections have consequences and we elected a man who said he would transform America and he has...turned us into a top heavy Socialist utopia for Obama and his friends

"Hi. I have an 'election'. Do you?"
I would be happy if my state could leave the Obamanation.
Channeling his inner Hugo Chavez again, I see.
Yup.
But, make no mistake, his policies are on the ballot: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OkYnghIrQrA
Obama, the only way for you to solve this is to get on TV tonight, during primetime, and tell everyone how great you are and for everyone to vote Democrat tomorrow.
Jackass
Our Constitution does not allow for “true national elections”, because the government at Washington is a composite of representatives of the People, of the States, and with indirectly chosen justices and an indirectly chosen President.
A selection of who runs the Senate is not considered a “national” election. Of course, if the dems were poised to win, it would be an affirmation of Obama policies and be considered a national mandate.
It isn’t a national election if he isn’t on the ballot. Once again, it’s all about him.
It happens every two years and was designed to be the voice of the People. Listen up 'rats.
