The Obama administration has been pushing the governors of New York and New Jersey to reverse their decision ordering all medical workers returning from West Africa who had contact with Ebola patients to be quarantined, an administration official said.
But on Sunday both governors, Andrew M. Cuomo of New York and Chris Christie of New Jersey, stood by their decision saying that the federal guidelines did not go far enough.
At the same time, the first person to be forced into isolation under the new protocols, Kaci Hickox, a nurse returning from Sierra Leone, planned to mount a legal challenge to the quarantine order. Despite having no symptoms, she has been kept under quarantine at a hospital in New Jersey. On Sunday, she spoke to CNN about the way she has been treated, describing it as inhumane.

Another Government Drone that wants us dead. No surprise, there!
Hmmmm, did not Obama want to leave the Obola thing up to the states?
Do they WANT Ebola to spread?
Yes. Why do you ask?
While I can see that this girl was inconvenienced, is this really an issue for which we need a lawsuit to be filed????
As a medical professional, while she was inconvenienced, does this girl really not understand the reasoning behind what happened to her????? Does this girl understand any of this???? Especially being in the medical profession????
Health care workers who go to Africa to tend Ebola victims should expect to be quarantined. They can risk their own health, but they have no right to risk ours.
They don’t care. Obama is a narcissist that feels that he has the RIGHT to give orders or take any action whatsoever. No one else deserves that right! If he doesn’t order a quarantine, then no one should! It’s amazing to see how delusional, and how far, Obama is willing to go with his ego.
Can you say 10th Amendment???
You have got to be shi**ing me. This is the most pathetic WH ever.
More proof that liberalism is a mental disease.
I guess Kaci wants everyone dead. Well, she is one person I will not ask for medical care from.
These latest episodes with doctors and nurses does not inspire confidence in the medical profession.
The only nurse that inspires confidence is Nurse Pham.
she’s a Dem activist screaming lib..that was posted some where earlier here at FR
There will be no messing with the agenda!
Hickox began spending public good will when she complained, she has exhausted it now that she plans to sue.
Her self-centeredness is obnoxious.
New York and New Jersey are now officially racist states. I expect them to legalize slavery any day now. /sarc
She’s apparently a leftwing “activist” and a big Obama supporter, in addition to being an irresponsible flake.
The doctor who was recently diagnosed in NYC after running around all over at least two boroughs was asymptomatic when he arrived, but was supposed to “self quarantine” so that a recent infection would have time to manifest itself. Obviously, he didn’t, and neither did the nurses in Dallas.
This makes it clear that medical personnel cannot be trusted to self-quarantine. Sorry, guys; you may think you’re special, but you’re not. I don’t think her lawsuit will go very far.
For once, I actually agree with Cuomo and Christie.
it would be ironic if she started having symptoms now...
#Ebola Nurse Complaining About Quarantine is Left-Wing Democrat, CDC Employee WITH UPDATE
The nurse currently quarantined in New Jersey is an employee for the Centers for Disease Control and a registered Democrat with a history of left-wing advocacy, Gotnews.com has learned.
Kaci Hickoxs ties to the CDC were not disclosed in a controversial anti-quarantine column she wrote for the Dallas Morning News. The CDC opposes quarantines or travel bans from Ebola infected countries.

(Editors note: Kaci Hickox, a nurse with degrees from the University of Texas at Arlington and the Johns Hopkins University, has been caring for Ebola patients while on assignment with Doctors Without Borders in Sierra Leone. Upon her return to the U.S. on Friday, she was placed in quarantine at a New Jersey hospital. She has tested negative in a preliminary test for Ebola, but the hospital says she will remain under mandatory quarantine for 21 days and will be monitored by public health officials. Dr. Seema Yasmin, a Dallas Morning News staff writer, worked with Hickox as a disease detective with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. With Yasmins help, Hickox wrote this first-person piece exclusively for the News.)
Mount her on a drone, and set course back to Sierra Leone.
