Christian Bale has some novel interpretations of Moses, whom he portrays in the upcoming "Exodus: God and Kings."
"I think the man was likely schizophrenic and was one of the most barbaric individuals that I ever read about in my life," Bale said.
Hard on the heels of Noah, which took great liberties with the biblical tale, Exodus is drawing criticism from Christian websites.

1. To avoid the film
2. To expect a complete and deliberate rewriting of this biblical account.
I predict that Mr. Bale will experience the Noah affect on box office receipts. Unless, of course, the Hollywood insiders get creative with the numbers.
Ironic for a guy named Christian.
Liberal Hollywood is trashing the Bible.
I mean they just hate Jews, Christians, God and the Bible.
Its enough to drive them insane.
So they have go out of their way to assault and discredit the beliefs of religious people.
Then again, its the new zeitgeist.
Christian Bale
Exceptional actor
Faux theologian
From the article:
“Just wait until next year, when a Cain and Abel film set to star Will Smith is released.”
We’re accustom to these attacks against our faith. Our blessed assurance is in Christ.
I doubt he knows the story of Moses as well as he thinks.
Then again liberals believe biblical figures were chest-thumping, blood-thirsty and intolerant fanatics.
They’ve come to believe their own propaganda.
Don’t forget this is the same actor who was taped shrieking profanities at his film director years ago, when the director accidentally walked in front of Bale, during a rehersal, breaking his concentration. This is the same actor who was accused by his mother and sister of beating them up during a family visit. His response was to ignore them and say they were after his money.
Sometimes, being very rich and successful makes one feel invulnerable and entitled. Recall how things ended for one “Wall of Sound” music producer, Phil Spector. Bale may have said these things just to start a controversy, and get tongues to wagging about the movie. I didn’t realize it was already ‘in the can’.
It is useful, if nothing more, as a good consciousness raiser about how the world treats sacred things.
The classic interpretation of Noah’s and Moses’s actions as being inspired by a purposeful God is out the door with the world. No, they have to psychoanalyze these folks, and they can’t come up with a theory that explains everything. So they invent stuff. Moses’ brethren and Pharoah thought Moses was crazy, so the modern world thinking him crazy too is hardly news.
Would you provide a resource for these incidents? I am interesting in reading about the actors conduct. A number of friends are enamored with this actor. They may have a change of heart after reading any facts concerning your comments.
I don’t recall reading in God’s Word that he was thought to be crazy.
I don’t believe they psychoanalyze God’s prophets, apostles, disciples, or followers. They accuse these historic figures-often times- of being “Schizophrenic” in order to discredit their testimony and character.
Numbers 12:3
Moses was the meekest man on the face of the earth.
So, if they had a meekness contest, Moses would have won ‘Most Meek’. Do you think he went around bragging about it?
Feb 3 2009, (the telegraph) Bale goes ballistic on set of Terminator: Salvation movie. The four minute meltdown contains 39 f-words as the actor lays into a director of photography who accidentally interrupted a scene.
There was an audio tape obtained by TMZ.
His on-set outburst came days before he was arrested in London for an alleged assault on his mother and sister in a London hotel room, on the eve of The Dark Knight premiere.
July 23 2008. He faced no charges after the Crown Prosecution Service advised no further action be taken.
Bale has been described by some as one of the ten celebrities no one wants to work with.
#10 it is in the bible from the book of Hollywood:
“The Lord sayeth Christian Bale is schizophrenic and barbaric”.
Thank you. I guess I’m going to have to rain on my friends parade. They’re not going to enjoy this.
Oh Dear!
Frankly, I’m going to enjoy it. Playing the Weatherman can be exciting.
If you’re so enamored with a celebrity that you don’t wish to hear anything unflattering or criminal about he or she, it’s time to introduce you back into the real world.
Numbers 20:11
Moses struck the rock with his staff, badly needed water gushed out, I suppose Moses accepted all the thanks from those ingrates by saying, “Ah, ‘tweren’t nuthin’... “ and didn’t give props to G_d.
So G_d benches him.
Moses was definitely human, something of a showboat. But “barbaric”? Gee, I dunno.
But if we’re talking about real psychos, Abraham—the ROP’s heavy hitter—was a real piece of work. He was going to gut his son, see? Like you’d clean a perch.
Skipping this anti-Christian trash. UP YOURS BALE!
+1 Win for the conservatives.
FR will boycott this sh**** movie
John the Baptizer was deemed to be crazy enough to eat locust and wild honey.
will pass on Exodus just like I passed on Noah.
Hollywood got the Left behind remake right. Maybe due to Christians involved in the script writing and overseeing the direction of the movie.
