Hey Connie. The boys broke my heart this year. Just a lot of bad luck. Maybe we’ll get off to a better start next year. Hugs!

ROCKUMENTARY: OCTOBER 25, 1973I was out of the Army in September, a red letter day for me. I had moved to Seattle to become the roommate of a red-bearded socialist professional student at the University of Washington, who was in graduate school. Through him, I met a stunning blonde, also a grad student, and ahem! (COUGH COUGH) life was going well.
I was working at KING, doing weekends, production work and commercial voice-overs. Soon, during a period of personnel turbulence, I would take over the all night shift. Thus would begin my meteoric rise in radio.
So what were you up to?
Cue the Rockumentary theme!
San Remo Golden Strings: Festival Time
This band was Motowns Funk Brothers backed with pickup musicians from the Detroit Symphony.
#10 Stevie Wonder: Higher GroundStevie was charting big these days. Motown was the perfect incubator for his talent.

To: AZamericonnie
Happy to do it. Nobody posted tunes for me when I was in the Army. Of course the Internet in those days was two cans connected with a string. Not much bandwidth.

This tune became popular after it was picked up for the theme song of a religious conference. "I've never been a sinner. I've never sinned.
I've got a friend in Jesus."
Wonder what sort of 'religious conference" that was? It certainly wasn't Christian.
