Your post and picture reminded me of an incident that occurred some 34 years ago... I was in the drum line of my high school band. Our band always went to a large university during the summer for camp so that we could get our complete fall show on the football field before the first game. The drum line worked separately from the rest of the band for the most part... Usually getting together with the rest of the band during the afternoon to see how things would mesh.

The drum line was set up in the university’s main auditorium, on the stage, to work. There, in front of the stage, was a Hammond organ. One of our guys was a fantastic keyboard player. He decided to play a few songs during a break. The only problem was that we could not hear anything coming from the speakers. Only a faint sound from someplace we couldn’t determine. Still, we were enjoying listening to tunes by Kansas, The Beatles, Genesis, and the like. There were probably 10 or 11 songs played... Even with the volume maxed out, we didn’t think we were bothering anyone. Suddenly, campus security burst in angrily, demanding that our friend stop playing. What we didn’t know was that the organ was wired to the campus PA system, and that in our quest for more volume we were blasting these tunes all over the campus at full volume. The other students loved it... We became known as the “animal crew” after that, because the Dean wanted us “animals” off of his campus. We had a great director that stuck up for us, and he managed to keep us on campus for the rest of the week...

Ah... Those were great times!
