FERGUSON, Mo. (AP) — Missouri police have been brushing up on constitutional rights and stocking up on riot gear to prepare for a grand jury's decision about whether to charge a white police officer who fatally shot a black 18-year-old in suburban St. Louis.
The preparations are aimed at avoiding a renewed outbreak of violence during the potentially large demonstrations that could follow an announcement of whether Ferguson police officer Darren Wilson will face a criminal trial for the Aug. 9 death of Michael Brown.
Police and protesters have repeatedly clashed since the shooting, which prompted a national conversation about race and police tactics. Images of officers in riot gear and armored vehicles confronting protesters have drawn widespread criticism.
Many protesters want Darren Wilson indicted for murder. Grand jury proceedings are secret, but legal analysts say recently leaked information about Wilson's testimony to investigators may be an attempt to prepare the public for the possibility that he might not be charged.

Actually I agree with you. But I'm not sure that will be the Obama calculation. But even if it is this is a Desperate Times/Desperate Measures situation for O and H and they may want to do it anyway. A Nothing to Lose scenario for them.

It is not my government, and yes the Government does scheme continuously. They scheme for different ways to pacify and control the willing sheep. Until slaughter day.
This could be the voter drive the libs need....(then again, it also might blow back by opening some white moderates’ eyes to the reality of the socialist race pimps.)
I've heard this viewpoint a few times before- that a No Bill will bring out the vote. But I think it's long past that.
Consider that both the St. Trayvon trial, and the Darren Wilson case happened on Obama and Holder's watch. If I thought voting in my people would lead to an end to children being killed by white cops, or white-Hispanic wanna be cops, it sure didn't happen. I would begin to think that voting for these people is a waste of time, and I need to go to plan B. That seems to what they are planning in Ferguson . . . Plan B.
And the fact is, the black community has been played by Obama and Holder. The question is, do they know it yet?
If the officer gets charged, it would embolden those of the protest mentality in their attitudes toward legal authority. How safe would police be?

Does anybody know what the typical announcement of “no charges” is made in the judicial process? I thought that a grand jury never (theoretically) convenes.
We are in a situation where the facts and the evidence no longer many much at all. The American people are emotionally driven in their socialism and injustice.

I guess there is no announcement if a case is “no billed”, is there?
