FERGUSON, Mo. (AP) Missouri police have been brushing up on constitutional rights and stocking up on riot gear to prepare for a grand jury's decision about whether to charge a white police officer who fatally shot a black 18-year-old in suburban St. Louis.
The preparations are aimed at avoiding a renewed outbreak of violence during the potentially large demonstrations that could follow an announcement of whether Ferguson police officer Darren Wilson will face a criminal trial for the Aug. 9 death of Michael Brown.
Police and protesters have repeatedly clashed since the shooting, which prompted a national conversation about race and police tactics. Images of officers in riot gear and armored vehicles confronting protesters have drawn widespread criticism.
Many protesters want Darren Wilson indicted for murder. Grand jury proceedings are secret, but legal analysts say recently leaked information about Wilson's testimony to investigators may be an attempt to prepare the public for the possibility that he might not be charged.

Any way to get the Grand Jury to hold off til after election????
This could be the voter drive the libs need....(then again, it also might blow back by opening some white moderates’ eyes to the reality of the socialist race pimps.)
So-called black leaders claim to want ‘justice’ - but their only definition of justice is a trial, a conviction and life in prison, the evidence be damned - just like George Zimmerman. And they are only damaging their own cause and community with this crap.
Whether the racial tensions have been fomented by current Dem activists or whether it is just years of hearing the Dem “I am a victim” party line, if the Dems think a race riot will help them in November, I think they are sadly mistaken.
Soccer moms may be Democrats, but security moms I’m pretty sure are not so. Like the old joke that a conservative is a liberal whose been mugged, social unrest does not help the liberal cause.
I was somewhat encouraged to read the report that seven black people that testified backed the officer’s account.
When the decision is ready, release it, IMHO.
The black “community” is a dissociative, reflexive and violent hive-mind that will do anything to preserve its persecution fantasy because if they’re not in fact persecuted, they’d be obligated to assume responsibility for their behavior and lives. And, that will never happen.
The street lynch mobs are just waiting for any excuse to start burning and looting once again.
Obola and Holder will make sure the GJ verdict comes out in time to drum up the hate and get out the vote.
I would expect that to be the case. The ferals are very likely excited about a chance to go "jungle."
Where’s the officer? Why is he hiding? If what he did was perfectly legit where is he?
“And, that will never happen.”
I assume you are not lumping everyone with dark skin into one group. There are many many Americans with African heritage that have no connection to the negative things that others do.
No.
Their little chant is
“How do we want him?”
“Dead”
Very well said.
Perhaps grand jury will hold off until Nov. 15. The first day of deer season...
It is always comforting to think the problems lie with a few visible leftist national leaders — they don’t. The problem is our general electorate is not honest about government and motivated to change it.
We have people that have a cash register view of government, what do I pay and what can I get.
Ordered Liberty, continuity with our heritage and the future of our nation are interests of only a small percentage in our soft society.
He and his family under tight security due to numerous death threats. Location undisclosed, for obvious reasons...
>Wheres the officer? Why is he hiding? If what he did was perfectly legit where is he?
Protected from Holder’s lynch mobs.
If they choose to loot, then we must shoot.
You know they timed this for the election. Our government schemes continuously.
