The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention posted tweets tonight about the nation’s latest Ebola patient, New York City Doctor Craig Spencer.

The two tweets described Spencer as having successfully passed through the CDC’s ‘enhanced screening’ for travelers from Ebola hot zones.

I read that Tulane University has developed a blood test that works in about 15 minutes and it only takes a finger prick for blood. The article said that the feds won't let them use it.

Just about everyone in this forum knew IN ADVANCE that thermometers weren’t enough because Patient Zero had no fever when he entered the US. He just leads us to this like a cross between Mr. Magoo and Elmer Fudd.

The enhanced screenings are useless. Less than useless because they provide a false sense of security for some. The CDC continues the lie that the change from asymptomatic and non-contagious to symptomatic and contagious is like the flip of a switch. It is a progressive change. By the time the patient becomes aware that he is symptomatic and contagious the moment has passed and he risks everyone around him. Enough with the self-monitoring and enhanced screenings. Quarantine is the only way to stop the spread of the disease.

Something is fishy here. This doctor was probably exposed to Ebola and then hopped on a plane the very next day. Seems as intentional to return to states just in case the virus took hold.
Do you really treat Ebola patients and then board a plane the next day?

OK, I’m taking votes on this....I have a preventative procedure (ahem!) next month. I want to cancel until this O’Bola thing shakes out. I don’t trust any hospital or doctor anymore, not at all. The spokes babe for this hospital said on local news last week that Ebola doesn’t live in WI, so nothing to worry about. OMG. I almost canceled that day.
