A doctor in New York City who recently returned from treating Ebola patients in Guinea tested positive for the Ebola virus Thursday, becoming the citys first diagnosed case.
The doctor, Craig Spencer, was rushed to Bellevue Hospital on Thursday and placed in isolation while health care workers spread out across the city to trace anyone he might have come into contact with in recent days. A further test will be conducted by the federal Centers for Disease Control to confirm the initial test.
While officials have said they expected isolated cases of the disease to arrive in New York eventually, and had been preparing for this moment for months, the first case highlighted the challenges surrounding containment of the virus, especially in a crowded metropolis.

They were all pretty self-satisfied, congratulating themselves and each other, and cast aspersions on Texas Health Presbyterian, which as we all know, was under the auspices of doctor dread, Frieden, who made his cameo appearance via phone.
Ebola is a hemorrhagic fever. Hemorrhagic, meaning bleeding - from everywhere...eyes, ears, mouth, skin, everywhere. Also includes explosive diarrhea and vomiting. The doctors are knee-deep in infected bodily fluids.
He admits to feeling rundown for three days and then on the third day he rode the L train, the A train, an Uber car, bowled at a place in Brooklyn called “The Gutter,” and even went out to eat at a restaurant.
Ten this morning, he takes his temperature and he gets picked up in a specialized ambulance to a place that had dealt with resistant TB during the AIDS heyday.
You missed the sarcasm tag.
This is actually a direct result of 0bama refusing to do his job. He refuses to limit any travel into our country for any reason. He refuses daily to impose any restrictions on either the disease carrying illegals streaming over our borders, or any restrictions on travel from ebola infected countries.
What does the CDC do if you are inbound from Obolaville? They wave an IR gun in front of you, give you a thermometer and a card listing symptoms. Thats it. Next.
if I was a betting person i’d say the odds are good someone else will show up with ebola in the next 6 weeks in nyc
Well, I’m comforted by the fact that the SOCIALIST in charge of New York says not to worry, that there is little chance of anyone getting Ebola.
Yup, the NYC Ebola Patient is no danger to anyone...
That’s why EMS wore haz-mat suits, his apartment is sealed off, and he is in isolation at Bellevue, along with his girlfriend.
Based on those dates, he could have caught it on one of the obola infected planes
He did more feeling rundown than lots of us do when we feel great.
You’d think he would have had a wee suspicion that something was off. Great doctor.
.
It might be airborne within confined spaces. From what I have read the CDC recommends the N95 mask for anyone working with Ebola patients. It filters down to 0.3 microns, but the virus is about 0.08 micron in diameter.
Isn’t there something in the hippocratic oath about first doing no harm? Where is his honor?
President EBOLA is CPUSA and moslem taqiyya.
And the best goddamned thing ever to happen since we won WWII
The backlash to this skinny foreign communist faggot’s actions will ensure the destruction of the CPUSA and their allies in the media.
The DC apparatchiks are in for a world of hurt as well.
If he had been smoking cigarettes, the CDC
and NY Health system would have been over him
like dew on a rose.
Well, that’s too close to home.
This is nuts. Here is a doctor who just returned from treating Ebola in WAf. So he is back five days and the last two days he has been fatigued. YET, yesterday he is all over the city he was on numerous subways, trains, he went jogging, he went bowling, he ate out and he went to a TOURIST DESTINATION. Was he on a jihad mission or what?
It does seem like he was a bit too social, considering.
He didn’t self quarantine, and apparently traveled on some sort of public transportation prior to symptoms.
Yes, I believe he was.
He should be charged with attempted murder.
This is pretty weird also......Fox just reported he went to TWO different bowling alleys last night. Seriously?
