Screw that. We need to raise the voting age back to 21.
The voting age was lowered from 21 to 18 during the Vietnam war based on the argument that if 18-20 year olds were old enough to be drafted then they were old enough to vote. Well guess what? No one has been drafted since 1973.
Since then, the drinking age throughout the US has been raised from 18 to 21. If they are not old enough to drink then they are not old enough to vote.
Only one group of people should be allowed to vote:
Men, who are married to one woman, who have children, and who live with the mother of all their children.
What this moron is saying is that because a 14-year-old can hack an entire family to death with an ax, and rape half of them, and thus go to jail for life, all 14-year-olds should be allowed to vote.
Since when does some group of people obtain rights because some of them prove to be monsters?
It depends on the definition of “equitable”. If that means that a person whose labor feeds a surplus that benefits others should have a voice in its disposition, then sure. If it means that every puppy with his mouth on his Momma’s teat has a say in how she produces the milk, then no.
