The Department of Homeland Security announced Tuesday that all people flying from three Ebola affected nations must fly through one of five American airports. One of the airports being Atlanta's Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport.

DHS says this move is to help prevent the spread of the deadly virus in the United States.

Passengers flying from Liberia, Sierra Leone or Guinea will undergo additional health screenings and protective measures that were put into place at the five airports last week. The five airports are JFK, Newark, Dulles, Atlanta and O'Hare.

This new mandate will go into effect Wednesday.

I’m sure the people in those five cities are thrilled.

So who does the screening or separating for screening? Is it the TSA?

I wonder what percentage of applicable flights go through these airports already anyway?

“DHS says this move is to help prevent the spread of the deadly virus in the United States.”

What morons.

Oh yeah...

DHS is pretending that there is no such thing as a connecting flight.

Perhaps the news media is just that naive, but these are not the FIVE ONLY airports. What the Border Patrol said was that most of the African country entry points, are these airports: JFK, Newark, Dulles, Atlanta and O’Hare.

Now, you could ask this question....are there more airports? Yes....those likely make up a third of the entry ‘players in question’.

If I knew that these were the five and I might have issues....would I fly from London onto Denver or Vegas? Yes. Are there American news journalists who will fly from Frankfurt onto Philly or Boston, who’ve been out in Ebola-land? Yes.

This is the stupidity of the guys that we send onto DC, and the stupidity of the news media who reads something but doesn’t ask any more questions.

this does exactly nothing

It stops those who think they might've been exposed in western Africa from choosing to avoid the screened airports. It's a minor acknowledgement that Ebola could spread much more easily than in the gibberish the ptb are "reassuring the public" with indicates.

21 day incubation period. I guess we’re hoping we get lucky for that rare patient showing symptoms upon arrival. This is yet another political gesture without practical effect.

Dead Ebola Guy flew into Dulles. That didn’t stop him from going to Dallas and infecting those nurses.

My assumption is the minimum wage gropers turned medical technicians at the TSA will do the screening.

LOL, this is security from the people who gave us the TSA. You know, that ‘agency’ thats never passed a test to find a bomb whether real or contrived. What could possibly go right? :)

So. Obola is recognizing that a BAN on travel to and from Ebolaland is wise and prudent.

He is just defining which airports are EXEMPT from that ban.

What a wishy-washy wuss. He can’t even screw up correctly.

Just went through Ohare immigration this morning. Didn’t see even a hint at additional screening.

What if they don’t fly through one of these airports? Will customs deny entry? Will they be put back on the plane to fly back across the ocean...and what if that plane is continuing on to Denver, for example?

Will we have the Ebola edition of the movie Terminal?

Probably not. They’ll just let people in.

I wonder if the TSA gropers will have more better protective gear against Ebola than do our medical staff at our US hospitals.

And is there any doubt they will have better gear than our poor US troops Obola is sending to Ebololand?

It’s not the airline flight....it’s not the airports, it’s not the Port of Entry.......it’s never issuing an American visa to any of the infected countries citizens in the infected country itself....that stops the Infected people cold in their home country!!! The only the infected can enter the USA withou a visa, is to enter illegally....which they will do through Mexico and Canada, because Obama and his low life, Obamabot, Democrat vermin have not closed off the USA borders the borders!!! Wake up...American people...Obama is not one of us!!! He could care less about your security, health and children!!! End of story!!!

Ebola Study Projects Spread of Virus on Overseas Flights

Up to three Ebola-infected people could embark on overseas flights every month from the three most-affected African countries, according to a new study that projected travel patterns based on infection rates and recent flight schedules.
The findings, published Monday in the journal Lancet, suggest that Ebola cases could be spread overseas by unwitting travelers from the worst-hit countries—Guinea, Liberia and Sierra Leone. http://online.wsj.com/articles/ebola-study-projects-spread-of-virus-on-overseas-flights-1413846023?tesla=y&mod=WSJ_hp_RightTopStories
