EVERETT, Wash. The man accused of shooting at police stations, patrol cars and officers in three Washington cities told detectives he wanted to be killed and was disappointed in their marksmanship.
Police say the 43-year-old Granite Falls man told detectives at a hospital: "Your guys aren't very good shots."

Next time - put on a doggie costume.
They need more range time:
I've seen those pictures posted here, several times, and I just have to question if these are real. Other than 'old dude' with a shotgun, the other photos look like unicorn events (i.e., they will never happen). I fully believe that our esteemed 'Homeland Security' bureaucrats work against Americans - but I doubt they'd make targets this idiotic. And 'old dude' with the shotgun is probably just defending is property and the old rust bucket behind him. 'Get off my lawn!' (even if it actually just a bunch of weeds)
OK, I volunteer, bring him out to my range to hold up some targets.
The targets are quite, quite real. They’ve been withdrawn, the company that made them to order has apologized.
I wonder if the Homeland Security Group ordered some targets with the instructions to make them 'white folk civilians' (since they are considered the great enemy by this Administration) - and the Company that made the targets intentionally went over the top. Because anyone who'd use those as targets would probably reach the natural conclusion that the organization that asked to use them as targets was the real enemy.
They are real, and when I got so much backlash, I ordered my company to stop printing and distributing them.
The idea was to desensitize cops. It isn’t about real, it is about training cops to shoot ordinary people without hesitation.
LOL!
Most of the cops I see at the range couldn’t hit the ocean from a dingy.More range time won’t help either,I can see by the way they shoot that they neither know or respect the weapon they’re firing.
The real apologies should come from those who ordered them. Meanwhile, at many ranges Osama (or someone else whose name rhymes with Osama) targets are forbidden.
I can see that that was the motivation - but when they are so over the top (and virtual caricatures) I'd think that they'd have the effect of turning the cops against the people telling them to use these targets. Either that, or the lure of donuts and a gold-plated pension plan is stronger than I think.
But they're pretty good shooting the family dog.
Sorry but these are real targets made by a private target company and the DHS had ordered a bunch of them until the big furor started up over it. Sad but true Dude. We are the real enemy dontcha know?
The good news is we can mostly all shoot better than the cops. LOL!

Trust me, that scene from Robocop 3, where the PD all dropped their badges and quit, will never happen. LE aims moreand more to attract thrill seekers and those who like to push people around. They are not recruiting for ethical standards.
I have exchanges with a couple cops. One thing is clear, they have no regard to traditional police values. Andy Taylor has been replaced by Bufford T Justice.
Maybe police departments should hire TV cops.
And Bufford would have shot Flash...
