The military now has female soldiers escorting former CIA captives around Guantánamo’s high-value prison, an apparent personnel change that defense lawyers say is causing an uproar over religious insensitivity.
When one captive — who had just finished meeting with his attorney — refused to be touched by a female soldier, the military called in a special unit to move him using the detention center’s tackle-and-shackle technique, a Forced Cell Extraction.
Female U.S. troops are still excluded from detainee groin searches and showers, the detention center’s cultural advisor said Thursday. “These are male-female issues; it has nothing to do with culture or religion,” he said.

The covers on backwards to allow the face shield (blue strap). It’s either a globe/anchor or a 1st/2nd class petty officer’s eagle and chevrons, but I can’t ever remember navy MPs in that getup.
I thought the Marines ran that particular compound, but there’s plenty of navy on Gitmo, so I could see supplemental coming from there and a common uniform required.

I kind of like having women assigned as guards. If the women are too weak to handle the prisoners, then give them guard dogs. We should never lose an opportunity to show who is making the rules. You don't break someone down by giving respect to their sensibilities.

In a typical prison women have been working on the line with male inmates since the 70s.
Women don’t usually strip search men and vis a verse in women’s prisons. Sometimes it’s a nuisance to have to make accommodations depending on how many staff you have on at a given time.
However, they do pat downs, restraint and whatever.
Here’s a good rule, if you don’t want to be touched by guards, stay out of prison.

Agreed - I’d select the dykiest females and swishiest males I could find to assign for regular contact. Everything I could do to ensure they prisoners stayed at a high state of irritation. I’d train pigs as guard dogs for the perimeter. One meal per week would include a low dose of Viagra to keep them stirred up with no source for relief and schedule whatever dyke was on the rag to do an extended interrogation session an hour after the meal.
I guess after spending 30 years in the military and retiring many years ago (1997) we had different TTPs (Read: Tactics Techniques and Procedures) for behavior modification of POWs. How times have changed.
