If I Were Gay, I’d Oppose Houston’s Old Lesbian Mayor
Associated Press Townhall.com ^ | October 19, 2014 | Doug Giles

I’m not gay. I get called gay all the time by Leftists who seek to disparage me when they’ve run out of their specious, illogical arguments and the full weight of common sense lands on their fetid heads and they have no other recourse but to go ad hominem on me and say, “he must be gay.” Which, like I said, I take they equate with a cut down; which is weird because, supposedly, they’re the homosexual’s champion.

For what it’s worth, the only gay thing about me is, and I must confess, I did tear up a bit during American Idol when Rion Paige sang Blown Away. But that’s the extent of it. Well, not really. For full disclosure, I felt exceedingly gay, in the classic sense of the word, when I shot a brown bear that squared ten-feet, in Prince William Sound, back in 2010, with my Mauser ’98 chambered for the vicious .375H&H Magnum. Boom. (Here’s the video if you’d like to check it out.)

That said, if I were gay I wouldn’t give a flip if pastors spoke against my particular penchant -- like Houston’s old lesbian mayor has been doing – because I cherish this thing called “liberty”. Yep, as a hypothetical gay dude I would still embrace freedom of speech and not get my neckerchief in a wad because some Southern Baptist doesn’t like my checking Jethro’s oil.

Indeed, as an imaginary gay man I’d still embrace the First Amendment and would fight my gay backside off for others' right to say and do whatever, just as long as I didn’t have to pay for it and I could ridicule the crap out of it.

Which brings me to this point: I don’t like fascists, straight or gay. Which means I don’t like Houston’s old lesbian mayor. I think she’s un-American. I think she’s a bull-dyke who wants to foist her weltanschauung on Texans.

Hey, lady … if you didn’t know this it’s the pastor’s job to teach the Bible and it’s also their right. And, by the way, it was a Judeo-Christian worldview that framed this amazing nation that you’re currently whizzing on by trying to mitigate several pastors’ freedom of speech.

Dear Ms. Mayor, just like it’s your right to quote Madonna, make fun of Baptists, dress like Chris Farley, sound like Borat’s sister, binge on golf shirts and cut your hair like Huey Lewis, it is also the pastor’s right to say that God thinks you’re a bubble-off-level. Suck it up.

I don’t know about you, folks, but I like a world where such freedom exists because, as Mark Twain put it, “it’s the difference of opinion that makes a horse-race.” All of us should cherish and protect such liberty because it's this freedom that sets us apart from such clowns as ISIS. Speaking of Islam, if Houston’s old lesbian mayor wants to get pissy, she should focus her radical-feminist-lesbian rage at Islam because, unlike the Christians who graciously would like to convert her, Islam, on the other hand, would like to kill her.

Thank you for your honest reply. It was also good for me to get the OT & NT references together in my mind for possible future sharing, as it is such a hot topic in these evil last days. Most people won't look them up, but if you say them with the Scripture reference, it seems to have more impact (for good or for bad). ☺

“Wicked”? Try “evil”. I think it better conveys the depths of depravity of these people. But it’s just my opinion.

They make critics, alright. But great ones? Wouldn't that require a little logic, a few facts, and the lack of desire to destroy and oppress their fellow countrymen?

Sorry, I find nothing “great” about the left since I first became politically aware at 10 in 1958.

As critics, they are termites. In power they are raging fire. Either way, the objective is to bring down the house.

“why aren’t the gays livid at ISIS

Why isn’t NOW livid at ISIS....”

the enemy of my enemy is my friend?

Or, because they are just 2 different regiments in Satan's army.

“Liberals make great critic but lousy leaders.”

Agreed. Well, with that statement, if not your entire post. I believe that anytime you have an articulate and rational speaker who is in opposition to the majority, the decision the majority comes to is more nuanced and of better quality. (Not surprisingly, the majority is less likely to pay attention to someone they perceive as hysterical.)

When liberals lie and slander, however, I’m not convinced they’re helping much, especially when they’re so rarely called on their lies in the press. Once lying and slandering gets to a certain level, I think it creates a huge temptation for a lot of conservatives to start trying to play the same game, in order to level the playing field.

Then again, it is the liberals in the media who generally cause this to backfire big time on conservatives, in a way it never does for liberals, so maybe I don’t disagree with the rest of your post as much as I first thought...

QUESTION: What's the difference between a bull and a bull dyke?

ANSWER: About a thousand pounds and a flannel shirt.

It’s because they have a delusional world view that is impenetrable. Nothing can shake their delusion. No fact, common sense, first hand experience, or person will change their mind. If they lived in IRAQ/SYRIA they would likely be in ISIS, murdering, killing, and raping the same sex across the desert. It’s all about the rebellion to these people. As long as they get to do what they know is wrong, nothing will change their minds.

You understand; unfortunately, the American people do not.

What a bizarre article premise.

If you were gay, Doug, you’d face enormous peer pressure to be a libtard or at least keep quiet if you weren’t one.
