It is one of the tenets of the current movement toward gay marriage. They get to get married, Christians are forced to provide goods and services if they demand it, but and this is the key caveat of it all but Christian ministers will not be forced to wed gays because of their religious concerns.

*sigh* — That's about the size of it. It wouldn't bee quite as bad if the States respected their Constitutions, but it seems more and more that they only apply when convenient. (i.e. when it furthers the statist's goals.)
Yes, I think we are at the point that Christians should only get married in church, and boycott the phony civil marriage process.
However, file for benefits as married couples, and when the government denies them, sue for religious discrimination.
This just proves what's been true all along: this isn't at about marriage at all - it never was about marriage. It's about gaining power to crush Christians and Christianity.
Perhaps Christians ought to invade homosexual establishments en masse and demand service....

There is nothing at a homosexual establishment that I want

Amen.
Easy solution to this. Churches reclaim the term Holy Matrimony. Don’t require a license, if folks want it legal, they go get a civil marriage contract at the courthouse. Tell the gays we DO NOT perform marriage ceremonies, we perform Holy Matrimony, and you do not meet the qualifications, we are so sorry.
Pretty much what I posted as well.
Why get the government marriage license, why not file for joint benefits without it, and be married in Church only. Inheritance and other issues are never handled by a marriage license, even who decides your life support if you are left comatose in a hospital is not your marriage license.
Get a email list of Christians who will attend these “marriages.” In the service, read every relevant passage in the Bible, Canto, etc. After the two-hour reading, ask if anyone objects to this marriage.
After an hour of Christians objecting by citing scripture, the minister should tell the two what they need to do to be in compliance in Christian doctrine.Thank them for choosing their church and return soon when they compliant.
Oh, and get the money for the service upfront.
I guess no where is safe for us conservatives
