The nation is facing a deadly threat from the Ebola virus, so President Barack Obama has deployed a new, poll-tested strategic defense adverb.
Before Wednesday, tenacious had not been said in the White House press room since at least March 2011.
But since Wednesday, White House spokesman Josh Earnest has been bombarding reporters with the adverb.
He used it five times on Wednesday. So what you are seeing from the federal government, however, is the kind of tenacious response that reflects evolving circumstances, he said.
He threw it out six times Thursday. He used it at least four times Friday. The adverb is likely intended to defend Obama from growing public worries about his feckless response to the Ebola threat.

I am not looking forward to the day when ebola gets its full political rights. It seems to be heading in that direction.
The SOB PONTIFICATES his a$$ off but CANNOT accomplish $hit.
I see what you did there, now that there is funny, I don't care who you are! Class our lesson for today is on Antonyms.
LOL!
The only thing that Obama has been tenacious about is his always being late, and adhering to his moronic agenda .
His "open borders" allowed one ill Liberian into the country for medical treatment for Ebola;
as a result we have two infected nurse healthcare workers fighting for their lives and
the CDC keeping a 'watchful eye' on another 100 citizens to check on them for symptoms of the disease.
Anybody with half a brain can see that this is strickly a defensive position which has grown exponentially from just one sick Ebola patient.
The government says, don't quarantine because people will lie about what country they come from; well, patient zero lied in Liberia to leave,
and mislead healthcare workers in this country even though he knew that he was sick, and with what disease.
Obama's logic and agenda is defective, just as it has been for the last 6 years.
His new 'Ebola czar' is little more than another administration 'spin doctor', with no medical expierience.
When are we going to say ;"Enough is enough", no more lies !
This genuinely offends me. Do not use my moniker in vain.
Why didn’t nobody ping me?
Are calling me a moron?
Tenacious, like THIS!?
/shudder
“”Tenacious” is an adjective, not an adverb.
The adverb is “tenaciously.”
Morons. I’m surrounded by morons.”
As in “Obama is tenaciously deceitful.”
PS We conservatives are wrong, in that we are not surrounded by Democrats who are morons.
We are surrounded by Democrats who are short-bus window lickers.
Scott says, "we've been there and it's not great for ticket sales."
Apparently, WE aren’t as TENACIOUS as Obamba
Obama is tenacious with his golf club.
I is sorry. I do better next time HHHHHHHHHH 1.
“Pivot” is an important position in their circles...
“aggressive” out, “tenacious” in. Maybe because I made fun of Øbama’s promise to “aggressively monitor” the situation.
Ehh...okay. Throw it in the pile with,
“Very concerning”
“Abundance of caution”
And all the others that are all ready overused by SPOX and media parrots.
Can hashtags be far behind.

The web link indicates the correct grammatical type, but the story headline still specifies ‘adverb’. Sad.
Or the word "Adverb".
Or, possibly, the word "Adjective".
I don't think they actually teach that stuff, anymore. Not part of Common Core, ya know?
