Spineless republicans get more conservative when they are amongst conservative republicans. They will follow the pack.

You can’t teach politicians a lesson. It’s a binary question and all they care about is votes. If conservatives want conservative politicians we need to get involved. Lobby the politicians, fund the politicians we want, and get involved in the process. Get off your sofa and get involved.

The idea of taking out a particular RINO or two is one thing.

Handing team nazi the ball and going to pout on the sidelines makes those people just as bad.

Assume for a moment that some of the Republicans are actually closet Democrats. Would you still feel the same?

On what issues are the RINOs willing to compromise to get conservative votes and money?

I agree with you. And I beleieveI hold some pretty deep conservative principles.

If folks stay home and the dumblecrats continue to win, then the conservative will be more marginalized than ever. They are not just fighting a party and their own party, they are fighting a press who continually hammers and insults, lies about the conservative position and denigrates them with complete impugnity. Even friendly outlets like Fox are becoming more left as they see the shift left.

So they can keep their principles pure in little silver boxes and curse as the broader culture turn its back on them until they will not be heard at all.

We continue to dream of some great conservative awakening that will sweep the country and all of their beliefs and creeds will suddenly be wondrously embraced and the eagles will fly with olive branches against a shining sun.

Ain’t gonna happen. Some swelling here, a few more conservatives elected there but we do not have an educated base from which to draw...smart young people who can be brought into the fold because we allow OUR kids to be victims of insidious indoctrination...even in good or Christian schools.

I am sucking it in and voting for Thom Tillis here because while he is the eGOP darling and my guy Bannon lost, I KNOW Hagan MUST be defeated, pretty much at all costs.

I know...I can see the posts about how principle triumphs and how much better sleep will be because those principles won out over compromise..

But I fear it will come at the cost of the destruction of the country.

Last week when you guys tried appealing to our humanity, it backfired and brought more people to our side. Please, keep posting this nonsense. By 16, we will have complete unity against the GOP and for conservative candidates.

How long will it take for the noisy few to show up. The one’s who actually think they are the principled, engaged in liberating the nation of RINO’s and big R republican’s while giving the rest of us the likes of Harry Reid and the ONE.

Thanks a bunch.

I do understand your feelings of being stiffed just once too many times by the stupid party, but...

After Mississippi? Don’t think so. I wouldn’t dream of tainting the their ballot with my icky vote.

I’ll vote for most of the Republicans down ticket, sure. Hopefully we’ll get some good conservatives rising up through the ranks. But the top of the ticket? Nope. Not going to happen.

Consider... Obamacare passed with only Dem votes but the GOP has implemented it with every CR since. They had a mandate to stop it since 2010 and every opportunity... and they implemented the program every step of the way instead.

I don’t think voting Democrat serves our country’s interests... but the GOP is only slightly less desirable in its current state. Remember that the Communist Goals for America were read into the Congressional record back in 1961. One of their goals was to get one or both political parties. No question they got one. They certainly appear to have placed leadership in the GOPe.

We have to strip Demoncrats from every position of power first. THEN work on the RINOs simutaneously.... but if we leave the Demoncrats as well as the RINOs in power, then we are screwed.

I, for one, am tired of being told to vote republican every election cycle just to keep democrats from winning. RINOs know this. It's a never ending story. My voting a straight party vote has not improved the republican party. It has only made the two parties more alike.

Can Freeper dogma be refuted? Can someone be allowed to not ride the band wagon? What is a RINO anyway? Where does the flat right end of the bell curve become Rino moderation? Is there an asympotitic uptick indigatind Rinoism?

Then again, can the dogma be refuted?

Concise, well reasoned, cogent article.
BUT:
If I lived in Mississippi, would I vote for Thad Cochran?
If I lived in Kansas, would I vote for Pat Roberts?
In 2016, If I am still alive, will I vote for John McCain?

errr ummmm ahhhhh NO!

They aren’t RINOs.

Reagan was the “RINO”, the Republican Party has always been the Milquetoast , Rockefeller Republican party that you see today, outside of the Reagan years. They simply returned to their normal state once Reagan left the White House.

“We wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities and powers”...that being said...the lesser of evils is still evil, frankly if the Republicans don’t think conservative principals matter I dont want them in office, the Republic is too dear. So Rinos and Dems can spend eternity in hell, but I will be damned if I will vote them into office to bring hell here.

In the eyes of certain FReepers, Reagan was a RINO - he cut and ran from Lebanon, gave amnesty to illegals, and raised taxes. In their eyes, HE’S JUST NOT GOOD ENOUGH.

In the eyes of certain FReepers, Jesus Christ was a RINO - He befriended and forgave tax collectors, advised people to pay their taxes to the government, and consorted with known prostitutes. In their eyes, HE’S JUST NOT GOOD ENOUGH.

Which begs the question, why did we end up with Bishop Willard from Planet Kolob as the GOPe nominee on 2012? Because in the case of every conservative candidate, the cry went out: YOUR GUY’S JUST NOT GOOD ENOUGH.

The FReeper’s Definition of Conservative: “I’m not sure, but whatever it is, it sure as hell ain’t YOU!!!”
