Las Vegas, NV Nevada Senator Harry Reid announced today $4,863,020 from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for Nevada tribes. The funding will go toward environmental programs, water infrastructure development, community education and capacity building. According to the EPA, roughly $2.5 million of this money will be used to continue tribal environmental programs, clean up open dumps, conduct small construction projects, targeted community outreach, and community education. The additional $2.3 million will be used for various water quality projects.
American Indians have contributed a great deal to making Nevada the state it is today, so I am committed to ensuring Nevadas tribal governments can protect their land, air and water resources, said Reid. The funds announced today will help to improve the quality of life, health, and the environment on tribal lands. This investment represents our continued efforts to further protect human health and the environment in the Silver State.

No apologies either. Like it or lump it.
And, of course, no complaint - or even comment - from the leaders of the opposition party.
Some people like different seasons best—winter, spring, summer, or fall.
Harry Reid likes “vote buyin’” season.
“Smells like victory!”
Need to keep hounding him, that question throws that dirty bastard off balance.
Harry Reid and Dina Titus, buying votes with your money.
LOL! Sorry Harry, 4.8 million of taxpayer dollars is chump change. In Arizona, the Navajos alone just picked up a cool $449 million from the U.S. taxpayers. That’s going to buy a lot of casinos. How ‘bout that “sovereign nation” thing? What a racket.
Heard Titus on the radio crying about education funding the other day. Made me want to gag.
Tribes or bribes?
Who did Reid give this to? Chief Look-the-other-Way or Squaws for Obama?
I misread the headline I thought it said “Bribes”.
Harry’s “Get Out The Vote” campaign......
He really meant:
Battle Mountain Band Council - Reid, LLC. $43,899
Confederated Tribes of the Goshute Reservation - Reid, LLC $252,369
Duckwater Shoshone Tribe - HR, LLC $239,300
Where he’s the sole managing member...; )
Redskins get heap big wampum from great white father....build many casino....drink much fire water....take many GPO scalp.
There's a party that doesn't dole out taxpayer dollars??
progressives say we are under funded.
Where did this money come from?
Yeah, well I meant “GOP” scalp, but.....
Buying the vote Harry?
What a coincidence. Right before an election.
Pfft!
Mere pocket change.
That’s one weekend’s take at one of the larger Indian slot palaces
What land deal is this greasing the skids for and for whom?
