A University of Texas professor said Friday that she was "disgusted" on an American Airlines flight as the crew, fearing the spread of Ebola, kept a woman who had vomited shut in the plane's bathroom.
"I was outraged by what I saw," said Martha Selby, who is the head of the Austin university's Asian Studies Department.
Selby was on Flight 2325 Thursday evening from Dallas-Fort Worth to Chicago as she made her way to an academic conference.
"She was making her way to the bathroom and vomited in the aisle," Selby recalled. "The flight attendants, I think, over-reacted completely. It was just crazy."

Selby said she understands health concerns, but believes the incident amounted to racial profiling - the woman was black - and a violation of the woman's civil rights.
"If I had puked on the plane, would they have they done that to me? I'm a 60-year-old white woman with gray hair. No, they would not have," she said, noting that fellow passengers shared her concerns about race playing a role in the incident.......

That pic don’t look black
Did the idiot “professor” offer to clean-up the mess? She’s probably tenured so what did she have to lose?
Puking or not, she sounds like someone who should be locked in the lavatory. Change the "occupied" sign to "Outraged".
Simple. Blacks expect to get a pass for their race because of Obama.
He gets a pass on everything from experience to intelligence to leadership to common sense, and they think that conveys to all blacks.
I think I'd be better off locked in the bathroom full time with bathroom fixtures, water, soap, and paper towels.
The full saying includes “with the instructions printed on the heel.”
Another point to be made is that the toilet is probably under negative pressure with a significant exhaust fan. Another reason this was a good call.
...not even if instructions were written on the heel.
Yep.
“After DB Cooper, they made sure airliner doors cant be opened in flight.:
Uh...no. The doors can be opened in flight, but the rear airstair door on 727s were disabled.
It would take some doing, and pressurization needs to be dumped first, but either the doors or an overwing exit most certainly can be opened in flight.
For even more in-flight fun, the emergency slides and any rafts carried on-board can also be inflated in flight. My cousin inflated a raft on an airliner once.
LOL!
Checked it out ... interesting ... thanks!
Country is about ready ta’ blow.
what is the way to travel without looking ridiculous? Surgical mask ala Tokyo?
Gloves?
Does Geraldo being Hispanic make me a bigot? After all, the instant I hear his voice or see his face on a panel, the clicker is used reflexively.
I live in a “GERALDO FREE ZONE.”

*********
She’s not. She just feels guilty for the sick (black) passenger :-/
“As to the leftist bimbo making the complaint, they should have tossed her off the plane.”
Nah, they should have locked her in the bathroom with the puker, since she was so sure there was no risk of ebola.
I was thinking widow.:)
Yep. So thankful my state college is teaching these *hightened, enlightened* subjects....NOT!
No telling how many grants she’s been *awarded* to enhance these vital classes :-/
