I agree .. NO!! Besides, the NATIONAL GUARD are to GUARD AMERICA .. especially now when our borders are so porous.

Wow .. is our president so eager to get rid of all our military ..?? Or does it just seem that way ..??

He might not be the anti-Christ, but he's doing his best.

The frightening thing is how many people are taken in by someone as shallow and inept as Obama. When we face the real Antichrist, we will have an enemy far more intelligent and energetic. Considering how miserably we are failing against a lazy druggie, we should be worried about the real challenge.

I can see that.....but also what about the brave men and women that gave their lives years and years ago for their country..

Is it possible if we could speak to them from the grave/heaven hopefully, would they say, yes I gave my life for abortion , gay marriage and the removal of/God/Christ from the classroom/public square ?

Would they all still say ...yes gladly? I dont know.

All this with just one index patient. Look at the hundreds of people who now need to be monitored. It’s astounding really. It won’t take much of this and our own economy will be even worse than it already is.

I knew that isolation procedures weren’t that great at most hospitals, but this has been even worse than I imagined. This hospital allowed 70 of it’s people to be exposed? How does any administrator/supervisor with half a brain do that?

It was clear from the git go to me, just a layman, that the normal isolation gear, and the CDC guidelines were not sufficient. These nurses would have been better off improvising like the nurse who used trash bags, gloves, raincoat etc.

What the h#ll is it about quarantine that the Government doesn’t understand? And what about the CDC for goodness sake, they don’t understand quarantine either?

By the way have you taken a gander at what is circulating around the countries South of our Border? We are all going to be dealing with fast spreading diseases that we apparently have no idea how to properly isolate.

The situations in hospitals are going to be pretty bad this year if we don’t close the border and restrict travel. I’ll be hibernating as usual this winter, but maybe earlier and for longer.

Fedzilla and Obama are lost causes. Every county and state needs to make sure they are protecting their citizens, because no other government is close enough to the people to give a hoot.

I already volunteer on the board of a health center. If I had more time,to do some volunteer work, I’d check into the local disaster recovery teams, that way at least one could learn what to be expect for various scenarios and maybe improve plans for your area.

Bring Out Your Dead

Post to me or FReep mail to be on/off the Bring Out Your Dead ping list.

The purpose of the “Bring Out Your Dead” ping list (formerly the “Ebola” ping list) is very early warning of emerging pandemics, as such it has a high false positive rate.

So far the false positive rate is 100%.

At some point we may well have a high mortality pandemic, and likely as not the “Bring Out Your Dead” threads will miss the beginning entirely.

*sigh* Such is life, and death...

As a Corpsman, I am appalled at the Obama Regime's placement of political concerns and concerns for the economies of foreign nations above the interests of the American Citizenry, and in the face of simple, time-tested but hard-won principles of Public Health.

Close the "Border" against potential carriers of Ebola and other diseases! Now!!

Over five decades ago, my Father gifted me with the classic "Microbe Hunters" by Paul de Kruif. This work, from 1926, is a short history of the triumph of medicine over the unchecked advance of disease. The accounts of the work of the scientists contained in this book are informative, gripping, and inspiring. It is an easy read and I commend it to you.

He recounts the struggle against disease from Antony Van Leeuwenhoek in the 17th Century, through Pasteur - who was not a physician, and had great difficulty having his work acknowledged - up through Walter Reed in the 20th Century. The oft repeated theme is that the medical establishment had to be dragged, kicking and screaming, into the light of the germ theory and aseptic technique.

Those great men of science, who would know exactly what to do in this situation, must be turning cartwheels in their graves at the pathetic response of the Obama Regime to this epidemic.

America demands Justice for the Fallen of Benghazi!

O stranger, tell the Lacedaemonians that we lie here, obedient to their command.

Listen, O isles, unto me; and hearken, ye people, from far; The LORD hath called me from the womb; from the bowels of my mother hath he made mention of my name. (Isaiah 49:1 KJV)

You mention the nurse with the trash bags, raincoat, etc. I have been looking for that post or the link to send to a couple of my patients who could not believe me when I told them about her. I did a search but could not bring it up.....if you have it, please share it again....it’s an amazing story of determination, improvisation , and common sense. Thanks!

Obama May Send National Guard to Liberia to Fight Ebola: Sources

People still don't get it. Obama's latest plan is to destroy our armed forces and our country by biological warfare

He has placed disease ridden illegal alien children in all states and ensured that they go to public schools to infect our children. Not being satisfied with the spread of those diseases, he is sending our regular armed forces to Africa to come in direct contact with the Ebola virus. And not being satisfied with that he wants to send the National Guard into the same cesspool so they can bring it back home.

This is the Muslim, illegal-alien, usurper's dream come true!

I did not bookmark it. However, it should be somewhere on the Ebola Surveillance Thread, so you could trace backwards, just scanning the headlines.

I can’t remember the exact headlines, but it said something positive, which should stand out.

Sure they need more treatment centers. Question is WHY is it up to US to send so many of our precious resources (all branches of military) to do it?

If he sends the National Guard. Every member should say NOPE! Nope, nope, nope nope. Not until Obama institutes flight bans. Demand it, every National Guard member who is slated to go should say they WILL REFUSE, UNLESS OBAMA PROTECTS AMERICAN CITIZENS AND BANS PEOPLE FROM THE HOTZONES ENTERING THE US. If he won’t, then crucify this piece of shit.

He won’t send the Army or National Guard to defend our borders, but he’ll send them to disease-ravaged third world hellholes to die or return infected?

Why use a team from some place like the CDC, when you can send National Guard and the 101st Airborn. This makes total sense. /s

I suppose he's taking another play from Bush: "Fight them there, so we don't have to can fight them here too".
