President Barack Obama is expected to issue an executive order Thursday paving the way for the deployment of National Guard forces to Liberia to help contain the Ebola outbreak there, sources told NBC News.
The sources said that eight engineers and logistical specialists from the Guard, both active-duty and reservists, would probably be included in the first deployment. They are expected to help build 17 Ebola treatment centers, with 100 beds apiece. The sources said that no decision had been made.

Is Stu Stevens advising the White Hut on ebola crisis management? This is an awful idea and even worse sound bite. Everybody in my neck of the woods has neighbors/friends/family in the guard. This brings the kenyans insanity home to even the dimmest bulbs. Nobody wants ebola next door.

The CDC director, which I have been hearing the last few days from has been saying the only way to stop the spread of Ebola and from coming into the uS is to eradicate it in AFrica. That is one reason for him not supporting a travel ban, because he wants more people going their to help stop its spread. SO Obama is probably being told to send more people in such as these National Guard Troops.

When is this "first deployment" that our alleged "Commander"-in-Chief has not already decided who is going, notified them, and started training them? The level of incompetence is staggering.

No one can. He is the only one who can stop planes from going to those African destinations and bringing people from there to here. He has the power to kill us all with those returning planes full of suspect Ebola carriers.
It’s also a terrorist’s dream - go to Africa, mess around with someone with Ebola, get on a plane to here and spread the disease until he drops dead and goes to heaven for the virgins awaiting him.
When Ebola is in Mexico, they will come across into California and Texas and go to our hospitals for care, however they are spreading it on their way to hospitals.
I see right now on TV that 5 schools are now closed as a precaution to insure safety from Ebola.
I’ve definitely got mixed emotions. Watch this video and you’ll see they really need more treatment centers.
However, instead of sending our military why not take that money that Bill Gates and Zuckerburg forked over and hire construction companies to go build them.
Then again, the Seabees will have them up and running before a civilian construction company could unload their equipment.
Why not hire locals to do the work, and send third country civilians in to supervise? Because he gets to drain the military budget for non-defense related tasks.
Local civilian construction companies? Seems like a stretch. These people aren't building the World Trade Center. These are temporary structures.

Centers with 100 beds? A month ago the Seabees were being sent to build units with 25 beds. If that doesn’t prove it’s out of control nothing does.
I think the INTENT is to infect the National Guard, so they can spread it in the US on their return.
