Americans' fear of an Ebola outbreak is being fueled by "sanity-resistant" cable TV news coverage and some members of Congress, Jon Stewart said on Tuesday's "Daily Show."
News that a Dallas nurse became infected with Ebola after treating a Liberian man stricken with the disease has sparked fears that the virus — which has killed thousands of people in West Africa — could spread to other parts of the United States.
"Clearly the news anchors are having trouble drawing the distinction between a person contracting the disease after working in close contact with an Ebola patient," Stewart said, "and the inevitability of all of us getting it now! Run!"
Later in the segment, Stewart introduced a clip of Texas Rep. Pete Sessions urging the White House to ban all U.S.-bound flights from West Africa

Jon Stewart will get there eventually.
Who knows? Perhaps Sarah Palin will play the part of Ellen Ripley, push the Lt. out of the chair, take the wheel, drive that personnel carrier into the facility, and save the remnants.
I want someone to ask these people how many healthcare workers we can sacrifice before we can get serious...
A few nurses dying? Meh. This is how callously the left views life.
I know six nurses, and they’re all freaked.

I just heard that one of the nurses who has Ebola now, also too a flight from Cleveland to Dallas while infected. I wonder how funny Stewart would think this was if HE or his family had been on that flight.
I’ve seen a lot of the coverage of the Ebola thing, and I don’t think I’ve actually seen much real panic-mongering. There seems to be this image, probably from bad sci-fi movies, that whenever there’s any bad news there will be masses of people running pel-mel in the streets breaking everything in sight. Except... In actual times of emergency that just never seems to happen.
Until they show up on the Capitol Mall.

Yes, nurses are our friends. Jon Stewart is saying that it’s insane to be concerned about their well-being. What a jerk.
The left doesn’t actually care about people. They are selfish, but spout a lot of PC crap to salve their own conscience that they aren’t selfish.
One need only look at Dr. Nancy Synderman. Going to her favorite restaurant more important than staying quarantined for 21 days.

The wife in a couple I know is a nurse supervisor. Her daughter is an ER nurse.
She went OFF today when her left-leaning, Daily Show-watching hubby started spewing the official line on Ebola. She knows what could happen, and what is happening.
It was actually kinda epic to watch.
And just think - a significant number of people rely on this comedian for their news.
Jon is just a prominent manifestation of the philosophy of a dying genetic aberration.
These folks and their code will not survive because the survivors will kill them. Or, they will die by their own stupid actions and devices.
His whole comedy act over this would say the exact opposite if it were a Romney in office. You can bet the entire farm on that. Leibowitz is just a partisan democrat twerp.
