Theres a social-justice movement taking hold across the nation. Michael Browns death, which turned Ferguson, Mo., into a battleground this past summer, has helped catalyze a larger struggle for racial and economic justice in America.
And St. Louis, where 18-year-old Vonderrit Myers Jr. was shot and killed by an off-duty police officer, has witnessed roiling street demonstrations that recall the heyday of the civil rights and black power eras. Taking a page straight from the civil rights era, activists launched a weekend of resistance that featured civil disobedience, direct action protests, tense standoffs with police and arrests.
The issues raisedending police brutality, raising the minimum wage, transforming race relationsattracted a cross-generational group of activists. Dozens of protesters stood outside Busch Stadium and reminded baseball fans of the political stakes that dwarfed the outcome of a Major League Baseball playoff game. This is not a happy time, one demonstrator told the New York Times. They come here and watch a baseball game while we die; we go out and get pepper sprayed and hit with tear gas for peaceful protesting.(continued)

Ebola is the great equalizer. The concern for racial and economic justice(whatever that is?), has very little worth if your innerds are oozing out of you on the curb and nobody has the will to touch you or transport you.
This supposed growing network is undoubtedly the old A.N.S.W.E.R. contact list. It’s been in place for at least a decade now under a myriad of names.
A.N.S.W.E.R. became too visible for it’s own good and evaporated back into the wood-work. Something like 7 to 8 years ago, perhaps a little more.
I don’t know about where you all live. But here where I live. I have not heard one single person bring it up at all. Even on the day it happened. What does that tell them?
The so-called citizens of Ferguson have redefined economic justice to mean "Give me what you have", otherwise known as theft. They won't work and theft will land them in jail or dead. They have made their own bed.
Fixed it
red-brown-green alliance
This ‘Ferguson’ chit has NOTHING to do with Civil Rights and EVERYTHING to do with the grifters and their never-ending quest for wealth distribution.
Luckily, I have nothing left for them to redistribute! Thanks, Socialists!
Somebody seems to be a little disappointed in Obummer.
Social justice is defined as taking what you and I have worked for at gunpoint and giving it to some lazy loudmouthed bums to buy their votes. I can't quite figure out where the "justice" part come in unless it is defined in the Orwellian sense as for example "The Ministry of Truth" being a source of lies, etc.
Those low info voters put their faith in 0bama and what did it get them?
As I understand, Myers was in a running gun-battle when he was shot, and was previously seen brandishing his stolen guns to his friends. It seems the narrative tops everything else with these radicals. Nothing else except the slogans is considered.
More whining.
More blaming others.
More self-pity.
More Tylenol for the headache this crap gives me.
.
People know exactly what happened and all else is out right lies and media constructs.
How come I have to obey the law?
Oh right: because I’m white.
Anything else would be racist.
Fixed it.
Free the blunts.
