To add to that, if I am reading this correctly, the plane flew back to Cleveland, where it now resides. What about the passengers on the flight that headed from Dallas, to Cleveland? I doubt that Ebola does anything more than laugh at the spray they ordinarily clean with between flights.

WEWS TV:

The woman who tested positive for Ebola was in town to visit her family in Akron Oct. 10 to 13

She was on the monitoring list. WHAT THE HELL WAS SHE DOING ON AN AIRPLANE??????

Oh, that would be such a fun phone call to get. “Hello, Mrs. smith, were you flying Frontier Air the other day from Ohio? Wonderful, how was your flight? Well, as it so happens, the person sitting two rows up from you but one seat over has come down with Ebola. Have you been around any other people in the last few days? Do you have a thermometer? Great...”

I don't know the answer about fleas but one doesn't need to look beyond polio which is, as best as I can tell, contracted only from fecal matter (it might be from blood as well).

Now it may be that polio is much heartier outside the human body than ebola but it is considered to be "highly contagious" and before vaccine there were half a million dead a year worldwide.

So yeah, you're right, nobody is talking about this with any candor. Obviously "it's hard to catch" is bogus and it'd be nice to have some straight answers.

Uh, I thought the POS’ CDC and local health officials were watching the people attending Patient Zero like a hawk? If so, why would they allow this individual to board an airplane?

Hawks fly, silly.

Is this Cleveland Ohio? What was the Dallas nurse who took care of Duncan and should have been being monitored in Texas doing in Ohio? What flight did they take there? And how many contacts did they make in Cleveland? Wonderful monitoring system. s/

And of course, all 132 of those passengers stayed in Dallas. No one would have had a connecting flight.

That’s enough....you’re making me nervous now.

Rush had a doctor from DC call in yesterday and he said it is absolutely incorrect to say a person with Ebola could only be contagious if they’re showing symptoms. The dr. said, yes, the chances are very small but it is still possible to spread the disease through bodily fluid before any symptoms arrive

Both nurses were 26 and being charged with direct care for the murderous Duncan. The CDC as well as the hospital are complicit. More experienced staff SHOULD HAVE BEEN supervising and caring for a deathly sick Duncan.

I am not indicting those 2 young nurses, but questioning the wisdom of those in charge to place younger newly graduated nurses in this position. These young nurses are brave but...

This is is wrong on every level.

How long will it be before Obama states “well, ‘closely monitored’ wasn’t so closely monitored”?

Maybe if we paid the CDC officials 200,000+ instead of a measly 100,000+ dollars a year they would do their job.

Are you contagious prior to “presenting”?

I would argue, yes. It would be a matter of the count of the virus in the body (serum). But insert the cold/flu season and you have the potential for someone with a cold that has been infected with Obola, spewing virus with every sneeze & cough.

and how about those snotty tissues ?

This is almost like it was on purpose. It is utterly nonsensical that someone does something like this, knowing they were exposed.

Next we will hear a person who was exposed decided to swim in the Dallas/Fort Worth water reservior.

Nigeria put their nurses under quarantine. One escaped and went to her hometown. They sent goons to retrieve her and put all her contacts there under surveillance.

Maybe we need to ask Nigeria to send their experts to show us how to shut this cluster down...

132 passengers were on board.

Those in close contact with Duncan pre-hospitalization went up and down from 18 to 100 to the mid-40s.

Those in close contact with Duncan post-hospitalization is at about 77, with at least 2 testing positive and the boyfriend of one also in isolation for observation.

So, roughly, that is 300 people, and that excludes the passengers on Duncan's flights to Brussels, Dullas and Dallas.
