This story is developing. Please check back for further updates.
Nigeria kept their nurses on a pretty tight leash. When one ‘escaped’ they sent goons to her hometown to collect her and then put all her contacts there under surveillance as well.
Twice. Dallas to Cleveland, back to Dallas, right?

The CDC says the second nurse with Ebola flew on a Frontier Airline flight from Cleveland to DFW the day before she tested positive.
“Paging Stu Redman. Mr Redman, please pick up the white courtesy phone. You have a call from Mr Randall Flagg.”
Question #1: did this persons travel itinerary show departure originating from Africa?
I don’t believe this has anything to do with that. They had not been to Africa.
The Dallas hospital worker that has come down with it was traveling on a domestic flight the day before they were diagnosed with ebola. At least that’s my understanding.

Between the PC Leftist agenda and the unqualified appointees in charge of far too many agencies, we will be in a very bad situation very soon.
Exactly.
Are you contagious prior to “presenting”?
As a side note, this will likely bankrupt an already struggling Frontier Airlines.
They had JUST found a good niche, and were exploiting it well.
The answer is no. If it were insect borne, the world would have been battling this decades ago. For example, Malaria is much more common and is spread by insects.
Absence of evidence, in this case, is evidence of absence.
Including mosquitoes. They’re still flying heavy up here in Michigan, even after our first frost this week.
Some have said that Ebola is the equivalent of Katrina to Bush. I disagree ... it’s much worse. Ebola ‘may’ end up being the political death of Obola .... ironic & fitting that a son of West Africa may be taken down (again, I only mean ‘politically’ for all you SS & NSA guys monitoring FR) by a disease from West Africa.
Yep..... You gotta wonder how Duncan who had Ebola went to a hospital, filled out all of the paperwork, had a medical exam. Opened all the doors, sat in the waiting room, etc etc and no one has caught ebola from that event.
“What about mosquitos?”
Again, substitute any pest you’d like that feeds on human blood or tissue. A biting fly. Noseeums. Bedbugs. Lice.
Right now, no journalist has asked the question, and nobody at CIDRAP, WHO, CDC, or NIH has answered the question.
This isn’t a Junior Varsity response. This is T-ball, with no outs, and still unable to hit the ball off the T.

Tell that to my dog.
“Dallas County judge Clay Jenkins: ‘We are not going to put protective orders on 75 health care workers ... the system is working’ -
How much do you want to bet he had absolutely no idea this nurse was flying all over the country. From day one I knew the “self monitoring” directive was a disaster waiting to happen.
Everyone gets a trophy for participation.
Yippee.
Sigh.
The health care worker had flown from Dallas to Cleveland on Friday, Oct. 10. The flight she took back to Dallas on Monday arrived at 8:16 p.m. and remained overnight, because it was done with flights for the day.
After that, the plane received a thorough cleaning per our normal procedures before resuming service on Tuesday, Frontier said in a statement. It was also cleaned on Tuesday night in Cleveland, the airline said.
LOL - I thought this same thing. Incredible book!
