On Monday Iraqi military sources confirmed the fall of the military base of Hit, which includes a training camp and the base of the seventh division of the Iraqi army, after a major attack of the organization ISIS, using suicide car bombs and rocket-propelled grenades.
The military sources said that the organization ISIS attacked the army base in Hit, the third largest military bases in western Iraq, from several axes, and carried out a series of suicide attacks on the walls of the base by car bombs, as well as a missile attack lasted about an hour which led to the storming of the base after the withdrawal of the army from it.
In a related context, lieutenant colonel, Rahim Aljughaifi said that ISIS have seized the contents of the base and the training camp, including tanks, heavy weapons, munitions and stores, as well as spare parts and different military supplies, adding that the army had requested help of the international coalition during the attack on the base, but the latter did not respond, asserting the control of ISIS on the three towns surrounding the base.

“And we are not bombing this base into a smoking crater because...?”
...God is Judging us. It’s called, “the beginning of sorrows”. He TOLD us He will not be mocked...that whatsoever a man shall sow, so shall he reap. If we want anything to change, we must change OUR ways, and PRAY to God for Him to have mercy on us...and if it’s His Will, heal and restore this sick world. Nothing else will do.
there, fixed it. had it backwards. sorry, a little tired.
bump
I hate to say it but Biden was right and Iraq should have been split into Kurdistan Shiastan and Sunnistan. We would have had two allies with oil and an enemy without.
This proves that as long as you are a leftist, no matter how much the public and world ask for help. You can act like you’re helping but not really do anything, and get away with it.
This proves that liberals don’t value results, as long as they can get their entitlements, and the Kardashians are on television they don’t care if the world is in flames. With one exception: The person in charge putting on the show has to have the same ideology as theirs, or appear to. Leftists don’t understand that Obama is not for them. Whoever or whatever is responsible for Obama is a very clever person, knowing that the American media would never out someone that appears to be one of their own. He isn’t, the left needs to realize this. I think a few democrat president’s that I can think of would have at least done what it takes to get rid of ISIS. Obama is only “after” ISIS for two reasons. One, to please the public outcry against ISIS. Two, to get Assad.
I think Assad will fall. Everything Obama has done up to this point in foreign policy has been bad for America, and American interests. Syria will fall to these savages, Turkey is already with ISIS, trying to bring back a caliphate. So Turkey is the first islamic country to join ISIS. Which next?
Anyone who thinks ISIS is being routed by the American military is basically a moron. I knew that Obama had a different goal then what the media was telling us. ISIS has ONLY become stronger since the first bombings began. A well orchestrated manipulation of millions of people to bring about a muslim caliphate that will lead to millions of innocent deaths, and likely WWIII.
I bet any conservative soldiers over there are about shocked stupid right now. I’d love to hear from some of our boots on the ground. Is that why Obama only sent a few hundred “advisors”? They all must be loyal to him, and it’s obvious to me that America and the world are being lied to. The leader of the free world is helping ISIS bring about a brazenly open terrorist state that will kill and injure millions of westerners at the slightest chance of success.
No wonder it’s mostly an air campaign, I bet that there isn’t ONE American soldier over there that isn’t loyal to Obama. It’s starting to make sense now. I KNEW Obama was going to help ISIS, I knew it. I called it weeks before the bombings started.
No, we should have never gotten rid of Saddam. Look what these muslim countries turn into without dictators.
Some would say a brutal tyrant is a symptom of islam. I say a brutal tyrant keeps islam in check, even a cure if you will.
They will not need Nukes to win—as long as the Iraqi Army folds like a cheap lawn chair everytime they face a determined attack—they will run all the way to Baghdad. The seige of Baghdad is about to start—The key is the air port—When IS takes it—its all over. Watch as the vaunted Religious Militias fold up too. When things go south—it will happen fast—we better have a plan in place to get out people out before they are captured and beheaded.
Kurds are the only group worth supporting in Iraq.
Why waste blood and treasure on people unwilling to defend themselves for a country that’s not really a country.
The Kurdish region should be a real country, and they certainly have a culture up there worth defending.

Time to send in the B-52s wipe it all out before they disperse
Isn’t that sweet—bammy and his pals sittin’ in a tree....
True
Actually, they are consolidating gains by absorbing territory including this base and the Syrian city. Iraq and Syria have ceded the territory to ISIS.
The territory within the new national boundaries has in effect been given up as not worth fighting for. That means the line of defense is somewhere to the south and known by all.
It also means that the weapons captured are likely unserviceable or they would have been withdrawn. The troops of the 7th division apparently with drew.
Just how well-trained was the Iraqi army? Again, how much did that training cost us?
And when ISIS overruns the airport, they will get US AH 64 Block 3 helicopters, while killing many US soldiers ... oh this will be a real disaster ... but Oblola will make it look like a big win somehow.
This is actually good news, since US air strikes have hit predominately US captured weapons - now there will be even more targets for the US to bomb, and Obola will reap the political wind.
Sounds to me like Baghdad will be next. Apparently the Iraqis are saying “to hell with it” and running like scared rabbits.
Soon, we’ll see a replication of the embassy evacuation in Saigon, and yet another spectacular humiliation of this once-powerful country.
We somehow cannot learn that lesson.
However, I feel sorry as hell for the brave American soldiers who gave life and limb to free Iraq from Hussein just so the sawdust-for-brains American voter could put another Hussein in power here to train and turn over all the equipment to a fate far worse than than the original s.o.b. whom we captured and turned over for a justified necktie party.
