Friend in the military says they are about to go on "CODE RED."

He's in the reserves. About to be called up. Anyone else hearing this?

And tell your friend this for me: if this is real...it’s probably classified at least secret if not TS...so unless you have a current security clearance and a need to know... Tell him to keep his mouth shut instead of trying to look important. Even if it’s a rumor and not true he shouldn’t be blabbing about what would surely be classified. Tell him it’s against his oath...and the law.

I dunno... I live on the east/west axis of McGuire AFB(about forty minutes from my house). Today around 2pm I saw an inbound L-10 air re-fueler and that’s the first traffic I’ve seen in awhile. Three days after 9/11 the outbound traffic of L-10s and C-141’s was virtually non-stop. Always in flights of threes. C17’s and even a C-5A or two. Man is THAT plane big! When ever my wife and I saw them going over we’d say a prayer and shout “Get some!’’.

I watched the takeoffs and landings for humanitarian air drops in Afghanistan, going and coming, near a base in Germany. Near dusk, they’d take off. Return was early morning.

Makes me sad to think of it. Hadn’t thought of it in awhile.

On the night of 9/11 I couldn’t sleep(who could?). My back yard is due east and the Atlantic is about ten miles away. All night in could see red and green lights, fighter jets at high altitudes zipping back and forth. I’ll never forget that.
