DALLAS The transmission of the Ebola virus to a nurse here forced the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention on Monday to reconsider its approach to containing the disease, with state and federal officials re-examining whether equipment and procedures were adequate or too loosely followed, and whether more decontamination steps are necessary when health workers leave isolation units.
We have to rethink the way we address Ebola infection control, because even a single infection is unacceptable, Dr. Thomas R. Frieden, director of the C.D.C., told reporters.

We have images in our heads that full hazmat suits were employed. But that seems to not be the case.
What the hell is CDC doing where minimal standards are allowed?
the demoncrats are counting on social panic by november 1
something about a General Election?
The only explanation that fits the behavior of these people is they’re totally pretending.
I really can’t think of any other.
You can start by taking guidance from the laws of science, instead of your Dear Marxist Leader, you FOOL!
Impose a travel ban on the Hot Spot countries NOW, you idiot!
It’s too late to rear them as people were reared beyond 80 years ago, but proper upbringing is what is lacking.
Yeah, what do you want to bet that their new thinking will mirror much of the common sense bantied about around here? Why is it, in the end, all of the answers for almost all problems, were there all along - within the conservative philosophy?

The incompetence permeates all levels of government and is quite frankly astounding to me.
It’s because we are the United States of America, the chances of us having an Ebola outbreak are so very minimal, and if we do happen to have one we know how to contain it. Not to worry. /s

That’s what they are recommending still, as of this morning.
When a bureaucracy bets and loses, they will, more often than not, double down.
Frieden’s a JERK just like obola!
Their whole reason for being is to have thought this out in the first place. Another government failure. This will fuel the TEA Party fire. Less government, more liberty.
I think what the DC planner figures have concluded (rightly so)...is that five affected countries in Africa....have a funnel of forty regional African airports extend from fifteen African countries around them, to various places (Egypt, Libya, Spain, Istanbul, Frankfurt, London, Paris, etc). There’s at least a hundred international airports, which connect to two hundred US international airports.
You’d have to stop all flights leading into Africa, period....for at least thirty days. I don’t think anyone has the wit or enthusiasm to press for that kind of max stoppage (even to another dozen African countries unaffected by Ebola).
This is mere theater by establishing a marginal question and answer episode, and a temperature episode. Nothing more.
The fact that your beef and pork supply is in serious jeopardy, has yet to be mentioned by any national news media source....ought stand out more than anything else. Within five years...you will be a vegetarian....whether you like it or not.
STOP FIGHTS OUT OF EBOLA HOT ZONES
Watch in horror as Dr. Sanjay Gupta of CNN demonstrates why the CDC protocol for removing protective clothing after being in the presence of Ebola is deeply flawed. The protocol does not require all of the body to be protected. The protocol does not require being treated with bleach before the clothing is removed. The protocol involves the person removing the suit to perform awkward and imprecise movements that will definitely lead to exposure in some cases.
This aired on CNNs Anderson Cooper 360 show on October 13, 2014. CNN is showing it on other shows even today. CNN deserves great credit for airing this.
Obama is satisfied with this, so he allows 150 people a day to fly here from the affected countries.
If Dr. Fried-brain is so damn smart, why don’t we send him and 3,000 CDC bureaucrats to Liberia instead of 3,000 American soldiers?
Hmm, how about not letting the infected into the country?
