Democrat US Senator Chris Coons from Delaware Tweeted Sunday afternoon that Americans should stop "freaking out" about one Ebola death in America and should care about West Africa instead of America's safety.
NOTE that Senator Chris Coons is the Chair of the Africa Subcommittee of the US Senate's Foreign Affairs Committee. So Chris Coons is the Democrats lead voice on Africa in the US Congress. For the past year since the Ebola outbreak began in the Fall of 2013, Coons was the point person for the U.S. Congress who should have been paying attention to the growing crisis. Coons was asleep at the lectern when the crisis in West Africa was developing.
Now, Chris Coons is facing re-election in November 2014 and a challenge from respected Delaware Republican Kevin Wade for the U.S. Senate.
Republican Kevin Wade and Democrat Chris Coons will debate on Wednesday, October 15 in the U.S. Senate campaign.
But on Sunday, Chris Coons displayed a condescending and out-of-touch attitude similar to Barack Obama looking down on the American people in his Tweet.
Senator Coons -- agreeing with the New Republic -- characterized American voters' discussions and concerns about Ebola as "FREAKING OUT"
Coons also agreed with the New Republic that deaths in America are less important than West Africa.
Coons agreed with the New Republic that the U.S. Government should make West Africa a higher priority than protecting the American people.

Stop Freaking Out About America's Single Ebola Death, and Start Worrying About West Africa
So I should care more about Oscar Pisorius then I should care about Mike Brown?
>> Coons is the Democrats lead voice on Africa
You can’t make this stuff up!
I don’t give a tinkers damn about west africa. I care about the USA. I care about OUR people. I want this president removed for dereliction. This is now here because of government negligence. It will soon kill a child.
Why haven't we heard from the CBC about this? Where's the OUTRAGE!?
I say we send all the ebola patients to his state instead of anywhere else.
By American he means Joe Sixpack and Jill SoccerMom. If he thought Ebola was actually threatening the elites, he’d change his tune.
America first ! We need to secure our own survival as a nation first then we can resume taking care of all the other hell holes on the planet.
Don’t worry. What people say will be monitored.

I sometimes wish we could really cuss a storm on FR, because I have a rapid fire stockpile ready on this Ebola stuff. Obama should be frogmarched out of the WH by the military at this point.
well its like this, Chris..
I was sympathetic towards all those poor Africans dying of Ebola in Africa..
and then your negligence of our country’s security let one of them into our country ..a criminal who lied to get here..
as yet no Americans have died, but my thoughts are on my countrymen and women and children and now off the Africans so much..
You better start being concerned about Americans the ones you represent, the ones who put you in office and stop worrying about Africa so much...

I have been an advocate for a travel ban or failing that, quarantine.
There is a grain of truth in these statements, though, and it is this: IF the African epidemic grows to millions or tens of millions of cases, it will spread throughout the world and become endemic in many places.
This would be bad.
It is, therefore, in our interest that the African epidemic be stopped as soon as it is practical to do so.
Where do we get these idiots? Is there one Democrat who stands up for America?
Wonder what his premise was?
With guns we always hear “if it could only save one child”
Why aren’t we hearing that about ebola?
How do we write the stupid F__?
If he were here I’d punch him squarely in the face.
