The Pentagon released a report Monday asserting decisively that climate change poses an immediate threat to national security, with increased risks from terrorism, infectious disease, global poverty and food shortages. It also predicted rising demand for military disaster response as extreme weather creates more global humanitarian crises.
The report lays out a road map for how the military will adapt to rising sea levels, more violent storms and widespread droughts. The Defense Department will begin by integrating plans for climate change risks across all of its operations, from war games and strategic defense planning situations to a rethinking of the movement of supplies.
Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel, speaking Monday at a summit meeting of defense ministers in Peru, highlighted the report’s findings and the global security threats of climate change.

Ha, first we have Kerry this week declaring global warming as the top International threat, now Hagel declaring war on global warming. These toadies must have gotten their talking points from Barry and the DNC over the weekend. Looks like a desperate campaign ploy to terrify the public. Too bad for them that the public is already wise to the scam. One would think that federal officials would be working on ISIS and Ebola matters, but sadly, that’s not the case.
O’Dumbo will declare a national emergency over climate change long before it would over Ebola or illegals bringing in infectious diseases or terrorists exploiting known vulnerabilities.
No wonder so many high level brass resigned or were ousted.

I propose the VP be put in charge of weeding the bureaucracy. Bureaucrats do not have right to the job they do, but, a NY rubber room solution be applied. Transfer them to Gitmo where they have to show up at a desk where they cannot use the phone or talk to anyone. Violations subject to immediate dismissal.
